African football legend Kalusha Bwalya has been appointed as CAF chairperson of the technical and development committee.

The former Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president will work in the new executive of  CAF president Ahmad together with Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantankyi who is now CAF first vice president and Democratic Republic of Congo’s Omari Constant who is the new second vice president.

Kalusha stated that he was proud to have been given the appointment.

And FAZ president Andrew Kamanga who is also attending the CAF congress together with Veep Rix Mweemba and Ponga Liwewe has congratulated Kalusha Bwalya on his appointment.

The Congress was the first Executive Committee meeting since the elective General Assembly of 16 March 2017 ushered in Ahmad as president

A helium balloon will always float high up up in the sky when released while those filled with water will quickly splash to the ground. You sir are a helium balloon. Keep flying the Zambian flag high up up in the sky while your haters continue splattering and floundering.

  2. There will never be a life without opposition.

  3. kamwa says:

In that position, let him be supportive of FAZ and Zambia, there should not be any confusion. There is a Zambia even without Kaunda as Head of State, as some thought there would be no Zambia without Kaunda

  4. Kasama Boy says:

Yes and Kalusha should support Zambia and anything Zambian.
To me that excuse about Rainford was very unpatriotic. He should have declared interest and left the meeting other than voting against his own national.

  5. @Kasama am not agreeing with you on that one. probably that is why you n i we not expert in football. honestly choosing who is best prayer should not be subject to patrotism. imagine choosing Mwepu over Messi just because hes Zambian.

  6. Discipline says:

Owe mambwe bad example Denis had great season so was the master just not going to the afcon how about abuotrika he won it against the likes of sunzu who won afcon for me it did not make sense with his excuse

@Pink Frog Mukuka Mulenga is clubless. He is not even warming the bench. At least Kennedy does play sometimes. Though next season he is definitely leaving Sundowns. He will find employers because his resume is highly respected in RSA.

  18. Sibs says:

Congrats to Kalu. Man the guy was able to bounce back. Can’t put a good man down forever, Having said this Kalu is not perfect but we can’t doubt his love for the game of soccer.

Good to hear the likes FAZ President Kamanga and Ponga Liwewe congratulated him. Way to go gentlemen. Unity will take us further.

  19. Anita says:

THIS GUY IS SUPPOSED TO BE ENJOYING HIS LIFE NOW AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF KICKING THE BALL, BUT HE IS BUSY MOVING AROUND LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT IN FAZ, CAF AND FIFA. HE IS DEAD BROKE, HE NEVER INVESTED PROPERLY. LOOK AT GEORGE WEAH, ABEDI PELE, ETO, KUFFOR AND MANY OTHERS. THEY ARE NOW EMPLOYERS AND NOT PICKING FIGHTS WITH POTENTIAL OPPONENTS OVER POSITIONS. I’M SURE HE FEELS VERY SMALL IN THE COMPANY OF THE FORMER PLAYERS MENTIONED ABOVE.
