Kalengo nets a hat-trick at awards gala
Winstone Kalengo has followed up his winning of three awards at his club Zesco United with another hattrick of awards at the MTN FAZ awards held at the Radisson Blu Hotel on Thursday evening.
Kalengo walked away with the prestigious player of the year award, the top scorers award (18 goals) and the most disciplined player award.
Teenage sensation Conlyde Luchanga was named the young player of the year while Chipolopolo coach George Lwandamina was named coach of the year for a second year running.
Changwe Kalale and Satchmo Chakawa who both survived a fatal traffic accident on their way to joining the national team in December 2014, were jointly awarded the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president’s Meritorious award.
Republican President His Excellency Edgar Chagwa Lungu, who is Patron of the FAZ, was also awarded the FAZ president’s Meritorious award.
