Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy (KYSA) are confident and determined to reach the semi finals of the Barclays Cup.
However, in order to achieve that they have to beat 12 times league champions Nkana Football Club in Saturday’s lunch time kick off at Nkoloma Stadium.
Nkana, currently second on the ZPL table have this season struggled for consistency, in spite of the having some very exciting talent and a massive fan base across the country the team’s performance has not really been convincing this season, with some fans pointing to the technical bench for the team’s lack of coordinated play.
Nkana will this weekend be without influential winger Soutra Tshimenga who’s not feeling too well and Ranold Kampamba who is still recovering from an injury.
Tomorrow’s fixture marks KYSA’s second visit to Lusaka in two weeks and another positive performance in the capital is expected after last weekend’s 2 nil win over Zesco Vic falls of Livingstone.
Aggressive, unrelenting, authoritative and unflinching, the Kabwe side will try to make their opponents as uncomfortable as possible.
In Nicodemus Kabungo, Daniel Chungu and former UNZABOLA captain Daniel Chakupalesa KYSA have the ammunition to cause an upset. “Impossible is nothing in soccer and if we play with our hearts, we will achieve it” #dchakupalesa #KYSA.
The other fixture of the day will see league leaders Zanaco play Kabwe Warriors at 15:00hrs.
Barclays Cup action will continue on Sunday with defending Champions Green Buffaloes taking on Power Dynamos.
All matches will be played at Nkoloma Stadium.
