Kabwe Warriors bounce back to Super Division with five games to spare
Kabwe Warriors were confirmed as FAZ Division One South league champions on Saturday when they defeated Paramilitary Football Club 3 – 0 at the Godfrey Chitalu Stadium.
Idriss Mbombo scored all three goals. The Congolese import opened the scoring in the 38th minute following good link up play with Paul Simpemba.
He scored his second goal on the hour mark and completed his hat trick ten minutes later, bringing his goal overhaul to 23 in the current campaign.
Warriors return to the Super League after an absence of one season having amassed an insurmountable 70 points from 29 matches in which they registered 22 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses while scoring 53 and conceding 13 goals in the process.
Their last five fixtures will be against Zesco Shockers (A), Matero United (H), Lusaka Tigers (A), Luena Buffaloes (H) and Katete Rangers (A).
Second placed Lusaka Tigers are 17 points adrift of Kabwe Warriors while Nampundwe in third, are two points behind Lusaka Tigers.[By Fazfootball]
