Junior Chipolopolo demolish Chawama Select

The Junior Chipolopolo this morning humiliated a Chawama select side 5-1 in a friendly match played at Sunset Stadium.

Coach Charles Bwale had the luxury of making close to three teams as 27 of the 30 summoned players have already reported for camp.

Flobby Mashakaleti started in goal ahead of Prince Bwale with European based duo of Mwiya Malumo and Edward Chilufya left on the back as they just arrived yesterday in the afternoon.

Bwale gave the node to Andrew Phiri who has been recalled, Christopher Katongo, Benson Kolala, Klings Kangwa and Albert Kangwanda to start in the first team.

The Junior copper bullets were in a top form and made Select chance shadows mostly with Benson Kolala and Klings Kangwa dictating play in the middle of the field.

Zambia were awarded a penalty early following a wreck less challenge in the 18 yard area by a select defender. Kings Kangwa had no issue converting from the spot.

Zambia went ahead again thanks to a close range finish from Patrick Gondwe.

Edward Chilufya was later introduced and he took no time to announce his arrival on the pitch heading in a perfect corner from Prince Mumba to make it 3-1.

James Chalimina then took over the show netting twice within 10 minutes to complete Zambia U20’s 5-1 demolition of Chawama select.

England based Mwiya Malumo played the last 15 minutes.
