Jack Chirwa the midfield maestro

In football having a good midfield is almost always a big advantage because most battles in a match are won or lost in the midfield. As Zambia head to Morocco for CHAN, An asset in the midfield in the name of Jack Chirwa is slowly but surely imposing himself on the team.

The green Buffaloes midfielder is expected to be key in Coach Wedson Nyirenda’s quest to bring the trophy back home. Chirwa’s calmness on the ball and eye to spot where to pass and the accuracy of his final ball is easily setting apart from the rest.

On Sunday the CHAN bound squad played a practice match with division one side Circuit City FC who are coached by coach George Kapembwa and as expected the national eased passed their opponents despite them putting up a decent fight.

Chirwa netted a brace and his goals were something of beauty. Nyirenda used two different sides with Jack Chirwa starting the match alongside Kondwani Mtonga in midfield.

Enerst Mbewe and Augustine Mulenga on the wings with Simon Silwimba, Fackson Kapumbu, Ziyo Tembo and Adrian Chama making up the back four. Zesco United’s most improved player of the year award winner Lazarous Kambole partnered Friday Samu upfront with Toaster Nsabata in goal.

When it was time to change the team Chirwa stayed on the pitch with Larry Bwalya joining him while pushing Ngwenya to the wing.

He seems to have come of age and if he continues his current form at CHAN he will be a very important factor to how Zambia will perform.

That is a player of note. A ball passing machine in the making. Take care of him. Zambia needs him a lot. His combination with Mwepu in midfield will become a headache for many coaches should the two develop and mature to full potential. Zambia will definitely come back to the podium of glory if and if only they take care of these players and many others.

Ave never watched a lot, looking forward to watch him.without sate sate, am remaining with three of most loved players in the team.these are, laly bwalya, gwenya, and August mulenga. I support nkana but I love these players. With augustine, mulenga I love his pace.with I love his use of left foot he is very intelligent when shooting. But ngwenya his thunderbolt is deadly. both ngwenya and laly are natural left footers.

Yes jack chirwa is good why did wada ommit him from the initial team list.. This man’s team selection is very poor.. Jack chirwa is versetile he can play any role.. We can have have them in one team with mwepu. Mwepu will play as number 10 and jack no 8.. Nathan will be doing the dirty work.
