It’s just the first game no need to over celebrate- Lwandamina
Zesco United coach George Lwandamina is not carried away by the two nil win over Nkana as there are still a lot of games to be played. Lwandamina was speaking shortly after his team beat Nkana 2-0 in a CAF Confederation Cup group C encounter at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday.
The former Chipolopolo boss told the ZamFoot crew that Zesco United did what they were suppose to do, Winning home games which is key for group stage of such a tournament.
“We have just started and this is just the first game and I can’t go all over celebrating. There still more games to be played , At home you have to play your lungs out to pick up points and not over celebrate,” He said.
Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi echoed Lwandaminas sentiments on winning home games and revealed that his team were targeting winning all their home games.
“It’s a tournament that teams need to win home games, playing your lungs out. We are looking at collecting maximum points in our games,” he said.
Lazarus Kambole and John Ching’andu scored a goal each in the first half to secure maximum points for the Ndola based African giants via a 2-0 scoreline that saw them climb to the the top of group C and relegate Nkana to the bottom.
Zesco United will next travel to Ghana to face Asante Kotoko who suffered a one nil loss at the hands of Al Hilal who will visit Nkana next on 13th of this month.
