Green Buffaloes in Mbala for preseason
Green Buffaloes has traveled to Mbala in Northern province where they will hold their preseason training. The team left Lusaka in the early hours of Tuesday and traveled by road.
Coach Bilton Musonda and his technical bench have not wasted time in preparing for the coming season which will start in August. The players have only had a week to rest after the league ended a fortnight ago.
The coach, together with the club’s Executive Committee is determined to overturn the poor performance the club exhibited in the transitional season with the team finishing on the sixth position, 13 points behind log leaders Zesco United, It was an awful season.
Zamfoot crew understands that seven players have been dropped that includes midfielder Diamond Chikwekwe who is nursing an injury other are Chipili Mungule, Lyson N’gambi, Prince Bwalya, Sebastian Mwansa, Davy Kaumbwa, Sydney Lombe , Emmanuel Phiri, and George ngoma.
The management wants to quickly elevate the playing standard by bringing in new players, in recent weeks they were speculations that the club contacted four foreign players as they look to go against their tradition in search of quality players who will add value to the club ahead of the new season.
