Zambian export to South Africa, Gamphani Jones Lungu says he is not under pressure to perform after his dream full debut for Matsatsatsa.
Lungu was called upon at the last hour to fill in Supersport United regular right back Grant Kekana’s shoes after the latter failed a late fitness test ahead of a crucial MTN Top 8 encounter against Orlando Pirates.
“No i don’t think that should put me under pressure, I just need to keep working hard and putting in my all,” he told Zamfoot from his base in South Africa.
Lungu was happy to help his team progress to the next round of the MTN Top 8 saying that’s what he is in South Africa to do.
“I felt really great and that’s what i have come here for, To help the team win,” he said.
The former Power dynamos and National Assembly striker put in a great performance earning him praise from the football fraternity including his captain Dean Fuhrman who was impressed with how the 19 year accounted for himself.
