Gambian Airmen to jet into the country on Friday ahead of Zanaco
Zanaco’s CAF Confederations Cup opponents Gambian Air force FC will arrive in Lusaka on Friday.
And a two man advance party has already arrived in the country.
The delegation arrived on Wednesday.
“The team will start off at 4 pm local time from here [Banjul] and will arrive in Lusaka at around midday tomorrow,” a ZamFoot Crew correspondent in West Africa said.
Zanaco will host the Gambian Champions on Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium, a ground which is home to Zambia Air Force sponsored side Red Arrows.
A fortnight later, the two sides will clash in Banjul.
Elsewhere on the continent, Zambian Champions Zesco United continue to shape in East Africa.
The Ndola side will face JKU SC of Zanzibar on Saturday.
In the second tier competition, CAF Confederations Cup, Green Buffaloes are away in Port Said in Egypt.
Though they face an uphill task against the North Africans, Coach Bilton Musonda will hope the likes of Adrian Chama, Buchizya Mfune, Jack Chirwa and Friday Samu will come to the party on Friday.
Buffaloes trained again on Thursday morning and are expected to have a few of the turf later in the day.
