Fwayo to return to Arthur Davies Stadium for his debut
Fwayo Tembo has finally been registered by Lusaka Dynamos ahead of this weekend’s mouthwatering clash against Kitwe giants Power Dynamos.
The ‘Galactico’ returns to Kitwe’s Arthur Davies Stadium against his former teammates in what will be the major talking point of the weekend fixtures.
The 28 year old is expected to receive a hostile reception at Arthur Davies Stadium from the Ndeke faithful but they know the Edusport product might come back and haunt them.
In the reverse fixture on match day, Fwayo dragged Power Dynamos and scored a brace as the two sides drew 3-3 in an action packed thriller at Heroes Stadium.
“It’s official, he has been registered and raring to go. He wants LD to help LD challenge for the league title,” a ZamFoot Crew source revealed on Thursday afternoon immediately after the Football Association of Zambia issued and cleared the star midfielder cum winger.
Fwayo scored 7 goals for Power Dynamos and the ‘Elite’ fans are hoping he will form a deadly partnership with Congolese forward Crispine Mugalu, who has already notched in 10 league goals.
On Wednesday, despite Lusaka Dynamos coach Patrick Phiri starting with the quartet of Mugalu, Conlyde Luchanga, Aubrey Funga and captain Clatus Chama, they lacked the firepower and cutting edge until after Funga and Chama were replaced Simon Nkongo and Nsofwa Mwansa.
Power Dynamos and Lusaka Dynamos are second and fourth on the log with 32 and 31 points respectively, with the latter having played a game more.
The Kitwe side have scored 27 goals compared to Lusaka Dynamos’ 24 while defensive wise both sides only Zanaco (5), Napsa (9) and Zesco United (11) have better defensive record.
