Forget North Africa, we will only to sell to French clubs roars Nkana chairman

Nkana chairman Evaristo Kabila has sent out a warning to striker Walter Bwalya’s suitors that the hitman is not for sell.

And Kabila has said the Zambian glamour side would rather ‘sell to France than North Africa’ because ‘our players usually have problems.’

“We have bigger plans for Walter,” Kabila has been quoted by the Times of Zambia.

With Zambian players such as Fwayo Tembo, Felix Katongo, Patrick Ng’oma, Aaron Katebe, and most recently Clatus Chama and Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba failing to settle down in North Africa, Kabila has cautioned Walter from making that move.

“He will only move in June to a club in France not Algeria. We usually have problems when we sell our players to North Africa team.

After news broke out that Walter is in Algeria at the Mouloudian club USM Algiers, Kabila has come out fighting and issued that the Congolese striker is not for sale.

“Walter is not for sale and any club that is interested in him should come to us.

“I am warning Walter not to sign with any club because he still has a running contract with Nkana.

After scoring 24 goals in the 2016 campaign, Nkana improved Walter’s contract in order to fend off a possible transfer.

His current deal expires in 2019.

The Congolese striker has been an integral figure for the Wusakile side.

He has scored an incredible 37 goals in the last two seasons at Pachita Stadium.

  1. I like that statement from our club president. Sometimes it’s good to act like that,to protect our precious players. If water,is wise he will appreciate those concerns from our club president. It is him “water” who will benefit in the future .This is Kalampaaaaaaaaaa.we are not careless in dumping players to foreign land.We are protective.

    • Excellent response from the president KM. Someone needed to state this at some point. Glad he has done it. North Africa is just not for us. Only Malitoli managed there, albeit for a short time.

  2. Ba Binene nabo, trying to sneak out on Nkana after all the club did for him concerning his nationality and transfer sagas that almost costed his career! Li saka sana kanshi nabo ba Sabwa aini!

  3. I totally agree with the Nkana Chairman. Nkana went out of the way to have this boy playing soccer and they team could have been docked points for Walter’s issue. For me i would not sell this player for anything less than $500 000.

Ask the guys at TP Mazembe how much they sell players in Europe $1M plus.
