FIFA throws out Zambia’s protest on Nigeria game

World Football governing body FIFA has thrown out Zambia’s request for an independent review of the performance of Botswana referee Joshua Bondo who officiated the match between Zambia and Nigeria which the Chipolopolo lost 1 – 0.

According to a letter from the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, the Association will not act further on the case guided by article 15 of the rules of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers which states that the referee’s decision is final.

“In this context, we refer your association to article 15 par 6, of the regulations of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, which clearly stipulates that no protests may be made about the referee’s decisions regarding facts connected with play. Such decisions are final and not subject to appeal,” stated the letter.

FAZ had written to FIFA to register their disappointment with the handling of the match by the Tswana referee citing Augustine Mulenga’s disallowed goal as one of the incidences in the game.

Football House had requested for an independent review of the decision as opposed to an appeal on the match.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga came under fire after he categorically stated that his Association was not going to appeal to FIFA stating that the rules guided that a result could only be overturned if there was evidence of malpractice by the referee.

FIFA correspondence to FAZ on Bondo’s performance

Zambia was eliminated from the 2018 World Cup qualifying race after the loss in Uyo which fans widely blame the Botswana referee for a string of questionable calls during the match.

  1. Hahaha losers. You want more boardroom points as usual? Sorry no amount of wailing will ever compensate for the fact that you lot are a so and so footballing nation as far as Nigeria are concerned. Wailing wailers ???

  2. Ahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhaah
    LoooooooooooooooooooooL
    ?????????????????.
This is like adding salt to where you injured. Very painful.

  3. Nigerians are praying and fasting big time so they do not meet Chipolopolo of Zambia again any time soon, such as at AFCON in Cameroon 2019. It’s true that the referee’s decision, including the wrong one that denied Zambia a goal, is final and that’s what saved Nigeria from the jaws of defeat at the hands of Zambia in Uyo. Until we meet gain…

  4. Personally Ave never been impressed with west Africans ,nigeria in particular . They are very backwards in reasoning . They can’t understand that other countries have right to air their grievances. No wander wars will never cease in Nigeria, because of the selfish and cowardly behavior of not wanting to respect your neighbors rights. And you Ave brought this evil spirit even to the game of football ,thats sad.Learn to respect other countries football rights. The whole Africa knows your primitive Behavior .Humble yourself and realise that you are no longer a footballing nation we used to know. This time everyone in Africa knows that you qualified through the mistake of a referee .As such, Zambia has the right to air their grievances. Don’t take it personal, and make yourself so backwards that you can easily forget other countries right. To remind you Nigerians, 90 percent of African betting syndicates is in west Africa particularly your country. We know you can use any dirty means to go to the world cup.But this is just an game.North, central and southern Africa’s countries understand this.Advise your coach to strengthen you team, because it’s too weak to play at the world cup.Zambia with her good strikes absent in the game managed to expose it’s weakness. If you don’t strength it,you will come back quickly .remember and respect other countries rights. The truth of the matter is that, the referee made a mistake and Nigerians benefited from it. Only a wicked person can deny this fact. And such a person is not fit to be soccer fan.Maybe he or she is a fan of horrible Nigerian movies full of witchcraft.

    • You say Nigerians shouldn’t take it personal, yet you took it very personal. What has football got to do with wars? I simply show how silly you are. Did Nigeria stop you from airing your grievance? They simply expressed their view about the outcome which they have a right to. So why are you so pained? Pls grow up and learn to follow football objectively. For your information, the referee already blew for off sight before your player went ahead to score with most of the Nigerian defenders being relax after seeing the linesman raise his flag. Do you think the Nigerian defenders will allow your striker score so cheaply if the linesman hadn’t raised his flag? Learn to use your brain when commenting about football.

  5. These Zambians are midgets in soccer rules. Soccer has well defined rules to protect the sanctity of the sport. Many sports scientists have done their doctoral theses in soccer rules. Unfortunately the Zambians are reasoning like elementary school kids. The assistant referee had raised his flag and the play had been called off, but their senseless striker put the ball in the net (a grave punishable offence). The referee had a liberal disposition and didn’t book this recalcitrant player … but FAZ went ahead to protest! Let them pray not to meet the SE in ANY qualifier again; our players have a long memory and would give them severe thrashing. You can’t play around with the Super Eagles, for sure.

  6. It seems you are saying the opposite my ignorant friend, the referee can overrule the assistance referee if he is fault, which was the case, you Nigerians, lack integrity, no wander you go where the wind blows.Don’t deny the truth. The Nigerians can not be wiser that the whole world. If the agrees, that it was a mistake by the referee, who are you to deny the truth. You people lack integrity, you are so ambitious and very self-righteous. No wander you are avoiding the truth. We know you qualify , but you Ave benefited from referees mistake. You are like a naive parent who defend his child even if he is wrong. You may claim to be knowledgeable , but you lack wisdom .To me,you are just a bunch of selfish, envious, gamblers who will stop at nothing, to get what they don’t deserve. Mark my words, because of such selfishness, you will continue fighting yourselves.

  7. @KM
???????????Shut up..lazy man. We beat you home and away and you are here blabbing like an over grown baby cat.
Simply put, you are jealous of Nigerians and it is foolish of you to make mockery of all Nigerians instead of attacking those who called you out. That’s also a form of cawordice.
The world cup draw is in December, you will watch it and also watch us play next year.
    Soreach dirt looking loser ???????

    • You will be whooped like toddlers in Russia, mark my words and will laugh like a Baby being tickled by the Father….. You sweated to defeat the under 20 Chipolopolo believe you me slaps will be waiting for you in Russia.

      • Its better to be whooped in Russia than not qualifying. There is a reason the Chipolopolo have never qualified and will probably never qualify in the next century.

  8. Zambia shouldn’t have bothered forcing their FA chairman to write a protest letter to FIFA. Even with a goal-line technology, it would have been proven over and over again that it was an offside goal. But what did Zambia want really? A replay. That would have been worse. It was almost impossible for Zambia to qualify ahead of Nigeria. Nigeria will win that match by a wider margin if it was ever replayed. Did Zambians even see the match stats? The shots at goal? Nigeria missed over 10 gilt-edged chances. Obviously, the strikers were not in their best elements or the felt the ticket was done and dusted already (At the point of the Zambian match in Uyo, most Nigerians were very relaxed too).

But having said that, biko, my fellow Nigerians, tone it down, guys. Educate if you have to, but don’t ever come across as arrogant and mocking. Umunnem, biko nu. Ejo, eyin egbon mi. Don allah, Nagode. Zambians are our brothers and they will be cheering us on at the World Cup. As far as I’m concerned, they’re the best in Southern Africa and always give Nigeria a real fight whenever we meet. Unlike Zimbabwe, SA, Malawi & co, whenever Nigeria beats Zambia, it’s often by a slim one-goal margin (Please check. Never a 3-0 or 4-0). And yet they don’t have many players in advanced leagues like West Africans. That should tell you the average Zambian footballer is good. Thanks Zambians for a good fight and for stretching Nigeria. We needed it. Nigeria may have won the ticket, but you surprised everyone in the group, ahead of big names, Cameroun and Algeria. Bola zapayat (I hope I got that correctly. Lol).

Let me say this, on a final note, whenever Nigeria gets its acts right (and I think we’re doing so this time), only few countries in the world like Spain, Brazil and Argentina can give it a tough time. There’s a reason we’re the world powerhouse in underage FIFA tournaments (U-17, U-20 & U-23). We want to translate it to the World Cup. We’re going to make the whole of Africa proud. We’re not targeting the quarter finals at Russia 2018. We’re targeting the FINAL. Yes, you heard that right. Book this comment, if you must.

  9. Naijaguy, don’t mind the fool called KM. Did we need the referee’s asistance to beatthem in Ndola? He has a selective memory like most of his people. Only an ignorant person will wail like him, Nigeria’s pedigree in world football is there for everyone to see and we do not need the referee’s assistance to beat a team we had already beaten in their own grounds.
If not for being on the same continent, Nigeria will never be playing minnows like Zambia. On November 14 2017, Nigeria will be taking on Argentina complete with Messi, Arguero, Dybala etc in Krasnodar, one of the world cup venues in Russia in a friendly match. what will Zambia be doing on that day? probably playing one of their Cosafa neigbours. that emphasizes the gulf in class between Nigeria and Zambia

    • If the referee did not help you then keep quiet, the fact is He helped you! At half time you were out played the possession was evident, Shame on you for not exhibiting fairness in your back yard what a bunch of corrupt shameless people without a tincture of integrity. My blind Uncle saw that was a goal….hahahaha!

  10. Zambians, pls learn to be good losers, don’t expect to win all the time. Even if nigeria did not win squarely in uyo what about at your backyard where you were defeated 2-1 by a depleted second rate nigerian team. Believe that there is always another day to make up, so be good guys, no bad blood. Congratulations and good luck nigeria

  11. Nigeria will lift world cup in since they are best team in the world. On 14 November 2027, they will beat Argentina by 4 goals to Bill.

  12. Nigeria will lift world cup next year since they are the best team in the world. On 14 November 2017, they will beat Argentina by 4 goals to zero. Happy Nigerians?

      • The match you are referring to was played by Nigerian’s home based team for your information. Maybe you guys should have hired the Ghana team to play Nigeria on your behalf at Uyo. Perhaps you guys would have had a better result, the same Ghana team that couldn’t qualify from an easier group compared to Group B

  13. The biggest problem is that you deny the truth.theys nothing wrong for you guys to accept that the referee made a mistake. It’s true you have qualified, but you benefited from the referees mistake. The supper sport commentators acknowledged that. That commentator is the only wise Nigerian. This man who is the presenter for naigermade,.During the commentary, the video was repeated, and he acknowledged that it was a clear goal.So you are not being sincere.People who are not sincere are hypocrites.

  14. Just stop being self-righteous and don’t avoid the topic,.The referee made a mistake. That affected the score line, period.Whether you defend yourself with vulgar comments or remarks, the referee made a mistake. Elvis, you seem hurt a lot with my comments, sorry my friend, did not mean to hurt you.Am just stating the truth. The referee made a mistake. If you are sincere, you need understand that people like me, stand for the truth. I apologize to you my friend when I mentioned the wars,am sorry my friend I was not suppose to include that in the game of football .however, Let the truth stand.”the referee made a mistake “.and it affected the results. Please don’t attack the truth, because you will not prevail.

    • As much as I hate the idea of Nigeria winning the ticket for WC2018, I simply don’t understand where the Zambians are coming from. The whistle was blown for the offside long before the Zambia player continued playing and ultimately putting the ball in the net. Most of the Nigerian defenders stopped after the whistle and only one defender followed the Zambian attacker. I don’t even see where the arguement or case of mistaken goal is coming from.

    • My friend why should l be hurt by your comments? I am just correcting you that’s all. Anyway apology accepted, but do you agree the lines man blew his whistle before the Zambian striker went ahead to score? Do you also agree that the Nigerian central defenders stopped on seeing the lines man raise his flag? Now lets assume the goal stood and the game ended in a 1-1 score line, what makes you think that Nigeria will lose to Algeria and Zambia will beat Cameroun by 5 goals to nothing?

  15. what has gotten into these Zambians? Have they been smoking weed? Honestly, I really can’t fathom why they believed they would have won that appeal against Nigeria. Even if they had won and probably a rematch takes would they have won? Even if they play Nigeria 10 times with Nigeria ‘s current form, they won’t win a single match. Permit me to re-use the word used by a Nigerian on this platform once again ‘ monkey and gorilla may claim oneness but one thing is sure- monkey is monkey and gorilla is gorilla. When u have quality in your DNA, you’ll always be a class above the rest. Up Naija.

  16. Nigeria is a country of croock.. If a zambian player handle the ball at the centre circle the nigerians they going to be given a penalty..

  17. Nigeria is a country full of gamblers, thieves, croocks and idiots. If a zambian had handled the ball at the centre circle the was going to give them a penalt to make sure they qualify.

  18. Zambia is not a team to withstand nigeria any day, even if they repeat the match in ur home soil, u willn’t be able to beat us. Go and protest the one will defected u last time in ur home soil.

  19. The point is zondo made a mistake that’s all Zambians are saying and Nigeria won but only God knows if that stupid line man had not wrongly raised his flag what would have happened

  20. Why is it that this wise supper sport commentator agreed that it was a clear goal?.This commentator is not zambian but Nigerian .Can someone from Nigeria answer me.if He says it was a clear goal, is he an assholes just because he agrees with zambians that it was a goal?.No he is not an asshole.but he is just levelheaded, balanced, and wise man. He knows that it was a clear goal and he is standing for the truth. If zambians stand for the truth you insult them.Is this what you wisdom in Nigeria?.Insults can never defeat the truth. The truth remains forever. The referee made a mistake, and that affected the match. And Nigerians benefited from that.Nigeria is a big country with a lot of people. From this, look for levelheaded and wise ones, you find them.Ask them it if it was a goal.they will agree, that it was.Dont allow pride to eat you up and appear unreasonable. The presenter for naigermade agreed that it was a goal during his commentary. What can you say about that?

    • You speak as though Zambia is a great footballing nation. Winning the AFCON clearly got into our head. After whipping Chipolopolo over 2 legs you are still finding it hard to accept that wads is clueless. we are simply sore losers. Its such a shame.

  21. For you own information Nigerians, Zambians are tough and strong.Since 1993 You Ave been playing with a Zambia B, .Zambia (A)had perished .You can not compare Zambian talent to Nigeria. Zambia will always be superior to Nigeria. Check the records and find out how many times you Ave lost Zambia (A).It’s this time my friend you seem to be a bite at same level With Zambia (B).Because the senior team hard perished. Ask kanu, okocha, oliseh, west, babayalow,.They will tell you that, Playing chipolopolo has always been a nightmare for them. You can insults zambians on other things, not on football .No west African country used stand in opposition to Zambia. Ask your great grandmother and father, they will tell you.am being sincere, my Nigerians friends. It is only this time you seem to be fighting back.Do not insults Zambian talent because you do not know how painful it is to loose the entire national team, in a plane crash. To rebuild team (B),its not easy .You can not clame,to be power house than Zambia. If you do know check on the Zambia football before the plane crash. Compare Zambia to Nigeria before 1993.You will find that you Ave been always behind. Zambia. Zambia has always been superior. Up to this time no west African country can intimidate Zambia. Zambia will always prove to a nightmare to all west African countries. Zambia always enjoy play with Nigeria, because Nigerians deep down your hearts, you know how deadly Zambia can be..my advise do research on history on Zambian football, and compare to Nigeria. Then you can insults us.To us zambians, Nigeria has, is and will never be football powerhouse. To other countries you can be.Not to us.

  22. Can a Nigerian tell me why this supper sport commentator agreed that the referee made a mistake and it was a goal. This commentator is Nigerian. Is he wise or an asshole?,To me he is levelheaded and wise.If he is wise, then all zambians wise because they stand for the truth.

  23. FACTS!!!!

ZAMBIA WERE CHEATED OUT OF A VICTORY AGAINST CAMEROON VIA SOFT PENALTY IN THE CLOSING MINUTES.

ZAMBIA WERE ONCE AGAIN ALMOST ROBBED OF VICTORY WHEN ALGERIA WERE AWARDED A SOFT PENALTY IN ALGERIA.

IN THE CRITICAL GAME AGAINST NIGERIA; ONCE AGAIN AWAY,ZAMBIA WERE INCORRECTLY DENIED A CLEAR GOAL SCORING OPPORTUNITY; MULENGA WAS ALREADY IN FLIGHT THE IS NO WAY THE NIGERIANS WITH THEIR BACKS FACING THEIR GOAL, AND ON THE BACK FOOT, WOULD HAVE MADE UP THE LOST GROUND.

IT’S QUITE CLEAR THE OFFICIATING WAS BIASED AGAINST ZAMBIA IN THE AWAY MATCHES. HAD ZAMBIA PICKED UP THE THREE POINTS AGAINST CAMEROON-IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DIFFERENT BALL GAME.

THE COACH, WADA, NOT HAVING THE SENSE TO SELECT PROVEN GOAL SCORERS & WINGERS WITH HIGH RATIOS OF COMPLETED PASSES, EVASIVENESS ON THE ONE ON ONE CHALLENGES, DID NOT HELP MATTERS!

FAZ’S KIT SAGA; FAZ OFFICIALS SHAMELESSLY SPOT KAPPA KITS AT PRESS CONFERENCES WHILST THE EXECUTIVE MAKE PRONOUNCEMENTS OF ENDING THE MAFFA DEAL-CHAOS!

  24. WADA AND THE ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL FRATERNITY AT LARGE SHOULD ARGUE WITH FACTS IN REGARDS TO THE INCLUSION AND EXCLUSION OF PLAYERS; WHAT ARE FWAYO OR RAINFORD’S STATS; DID THEIR REPLACEMENTS FARE ANY BETTER IN THE STATS DEPARTMENT-EMOTIONS WITH NO STATS ARE JUST EMOTIONS!

  25. NIGERIA HAS NEVER DOMINATED AFRICAN FOOTBALL; THE 90’S SUPER EAGLES ONLY ACCOUNT FOR ONE AFCON WIN; GIVING WAY TO CAMEROONIAN DOMINANCE; JAY JAY ONLY HAS ONE AFCON RING!! IN THE 1960’S, 1970’S; NIGERIA WAS NON EXISTENT; THEIR FEW WINS AGAINST ZAMBIA IN THE 1980’S; REFLECTIVE OF HOME GROUND ADVANTAGE AS THE HOSTS. HOW MANY TIMES HAS NEWZEALAND BEEN TO THE WORLD CUP? HAD THE JAY JAY INSPIRED SE’S BEEN AROUND IN THE 1980’S AND BEFORE, WHEN THE WORLD CUP SLOTS WERE FEW; NIGERIA WUD HAVE NEVER FEATURED AT THE EVENT; THE FIVE TEAM SETUP IS NIGERIA’S SAVING GRACE!

  26. Our Nigerian friends, my humble appeal to you is that,Next time, when you brag, first have facts.Dont boast ignorantly. It’s always embarrassing to boast without knowledge. Zambians know what they talk about, they are sincere people.pay attention to what, who knows maybe you may be able to have wisdom.

  27. Nigeria has won the U17 FIFA Youth Championship 4 times, won the Olympic Hold Medal in Football, played at the FIFA U21 Youth Championship twice, won the AFCON thrice and making a sixth sporran ce at the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
    Zambia won AFCON ONCE.
PLEEEAAASE, we are not in the same league. PERIOD.

  28. Nigeria has won the U17 FIFA Youth Championship 4 times, won the Olympic Gold Medal in Football, played at the FIFA U21 Youth Championship twice, won the AFCON thrice and making a sixth appearance at the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
    Zambia won AFCON ONCE.
PLEEEAAASE, we are not in the same league. PERIOD.

    • NIGERIA ARE SUPER AGE CHEATS, GIVE THEM AN UNDER ONE YEAR OLD TOURNAMENT AND THEY WUD WIN IT WITH BEARDED “ONE YEAR OLDS”; RONALDINHO WON THE FIFA U17, U20 AND HIS CAREER SPEAKS FOR ITSELF; WHERE ARE NIGERIA’S RONALDINHOS, THE WORLD BEATERS WHO GROW FROM YOUTH TO SENIOR POWERHOUSES! NIGERIA’S 1980 AFCON WIN WAS AT A TIME THE HOSTS ALWAYS WON 80% OF THE TIME FOR REASONS OWNING TO HEAVILY BIASED OFFICIATING. UNSURPRISINGLY AFTER 1980 YOU DIDNT HEAR MUCH OF NIGERIA’S SUPER EAGLES UP UNTIL 1994. NIGERIA’S FIRST REAL AFCON WAS IN 1994 AGAINST ZAMBIA’S C TEAM. NIGERIA’S 2013 AFCON WIN HAS AN ASTRIX; IT TOOK PLACE LESS THAN ONE YEAR AFTER THE 2012 AFCON LEADING TO THE TOP 2012 TEAMS BEING FATIGUED, RESULTING IN AN ANOMALY; NON OF THE TOP 8 TEAMS OF THE 2012 AFCON MADE IT TO THE 2013 FINAL-NIGERIA WAS WELL RESTED AS THEY FAILED TO QUALIFY TO THE LEGITIMATE 2012 AFCON. OLYMPIC GOLD-THE MAJOR SOCCER POWERHOUSES DIDN’T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY, HENCE THE LIKES OF MEXICO CAUSING WAVES AT OLYMPIC FINALS BUT FLOPPING AT THE WORLD CUP. QUALIFYING TO THE WORLD CUP DON’T MEAN NOTHING; NEW ZEALAND HAS QUALIFIED TWICE, SAUDI ARABIA FOUR TIMES……NIGERIA FAILED ABYSMALLY TO QUALIFY WHEN AFRICA ONLY HAD ONE QUALIFYING SLOT, TWO QUALIFYING SLOTS, THREE QUALIFYING SLOTS – SENEGAL’S ONE APPEARANCE BY FAR OUTWEIGHS NIGERIA’S ANEMIC 5 APPEARANCES. NIGERIA IS A BABY ON THE AFRICAN FOOTBALL SCENE-WHERE WAS NIGERIA WHEN ZAMBIA WAS SQUARING OFF WITH CONGO DRC IN THE 1974 AFCON FINAL. SAMUEL ETO HAS MORE AFCON WINS IN 20 YEARS THAN NIGERIA HAS IN 54 YEARS! NIGERIA IS A NOISE AFRICAN SUPER POWER BUT FOOTBALL; NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

      • NAIJAS KNOW THEY CAN’T CRITICIZE MY POST BECAUSE IT CUTS SO DEEP; EXPOSES THEIR NAKEDNESS! GHANA!! IS NIGERIA’S BIG BROTHER IN FOOTBALLING TERMS!! NIGERIA HAS NO FOOTBALL HISTORY PRIOR TO 1993; BY 1993 EVEN MANDELA WAS FREED.

  29. Ok let’s analyze the senior teams. Nigeria has won AFCON THRICE, Played at the round of 16 THRICE at the FIFA World Cup , was ranked the 5th best team in the world by FIFA in 1994 and just qualified to play at the World Cup for the Sixth time.
    Zambia ??????????????????????
We are not in the same league, PPPPLLEEAASE!!!!

    • FOR SOME REASON, KNOWN ONLY TO NIGERIA, PRIOR TO THE MRI SCANS TESTING ERA; THE YOUNGER THE AGE GROUP, THE BETTER NIGERIA PERFORMED! U17; NIGERIA WERE DOING WELL BUT AT U23 AND BEYOND THE SUCCESS SEEMS TO VANISH-COULD IT BE A CASE OF SENIOR PLAYERS HAVING GOTTEN CARRIED AWAY WITH THEIR EARLIER SUCCESS AT U17 AND LOSING FOCUS AT SENIOR OR IS IT…….. LOL

  30. Lmao.. jealousy is very bad..??????.
Why is it difficult for you guys to accept that COSAFA is where you belong..
What exactly will zambia be doing at the world cup? Chasing after messi,Mikel, Ronaldo and Co to sign autograph for them? Lmao…
Even with men over 35 years, you still couldn’t win the under 20 championship. Looool????.
Dominate COSAFA first, then you talk about AFCON before even reasoning of going to the world cup. And that will likely be in the year 3078..???

  31. That’s where the problem is,you Nigerians avoid the facts. You just exposing yourself how headstrong and puffed up pride you are.I asked you Nigerians to rate to your country before 1993.and tell us you have been a power house. You find that you have been nowhere. You were not on the scene. Check for Zambian football, compare it with yours.Zambia has always been superior. This time you find it hard to beat Zambia (B),because the senior team perished in Garbon..have some time with your grand parents, ask them about Zambia football, they will tell you how dangerous And touch we are. Zambians don’t need referees to help them to win the match. It is just sad to loose Steven keshi in death. Had he been there, he could have provided very good information about Zambian football.Keshi new zambian football very very well and has always have respect for zambian soccer.Zambia has many of times been affect by bad officiating. If that is not enough go to Italy, ask them which they fear most,in Africa. Without being biased, they will mention Zambia, They do not know Nigeria. Again go to Germany, where football was made ask them, they will point at Zambia. Zambia’s we respect the game of football, to us it’s entertainment .We do not need to be hostile to our opponents or visitors, exert pressure on the referee to win the match. We just beat them at ground level. Please find time my dear Nigerians analyse Zambian critically, with no favoritism, then you will find that zambians have always been superior to you.Good teams in Africa have not gone to the world cup,no wander it will take time the cup to won by an African team.It would have been logical for Egypt to boast that they are a power house. Not Nigeria. You Nigerians are just presumptuous. You put yourself where you do not belong. Do research on Zambian football may you be helped to be wise.Us zambians we know what we talk about. We are not just loyal to our country, but we are also balance and reasonable. That’s what the Nigerians lack.Nigeria has never been a power house.

    • WELL SAID BRO!! NIGERIA CAN’T WIN AN AFCON AGAINST A STRONG TEAM; THEY NEED A CATASTROPHE; NUCLEAR BOMBING, PLANE CRASH, RESCHEDULING OF AFCON, “1980’S HOME GROUND ADVANTAGE”, IN ORDER TO STAND ANY CHANCE OF WINNING AN AFCON. CAMEROON SMACKED THEM SILLY TO WIN AN AFCON IN NIGERIA’S OWN BACKYARD; ASK JAY JAY & KANU.

  32. Am really enjoying the debate that is going on here. I don’t meant to comments in the first place, but I have to because of the guy called (Km) and his fellow Zambians.. firstly, I need to asked you bro, is it that what you are saying about Nigeria is based on your own knowledge or you are just trying to defend and back your country Zambia? How come is Zambia superior to Nigeria? I don’t understand, in what way? me and my friends here can’t stop laughing at you when you claimed that Nigeria is not a power house in African football..(lol) stop being sentimental and biased, how many times have you won the Nations cup? is it not once? Do you even knows that Nigeria has the highest number of medals in the history of Africa cup of Nation? kalusha bwalya was the first and only Zambian to win the tittle of African footballer of the year, isn’t he? so,do you knows how many Nigerians have claimed the award? go to Google bro.. Despite that your own Kalusha bwalya is the first and only african soccer great that comes out of Zambia, can he be compared to these ex- Football kings;- jay jay Okocha (the most talented footballer in Africa), nwankwo kanu, The late Rasheed yekini, victor ikpeba(the first prince of Monaco), Daniel amokachi (the bull), John Mikel obi (jmo) and so all. Nigeria, Ghana, ivory coast, Senegal, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Cameroon and Angola have all tasted the world stage because they were all power houses in African football and soccer nation.. so, Has Zambia ever played at the grandest stage of soccer(world cup) before? its capital NO bro.. so, howcome u are trying to claim what does not belong to u? Zambia is not even a soccer nation in Africa talkless of being recognized in world football. can you name a single player of yours who is playing a topflight football? Charley musonda of Chelsea never knew Zambian national team exist, so don’t try to bring his name up. for your information, Nigeria has the highest number of footballer playing abroad in Africa. we are spoilt with choice.. in one of your comments, you said Nigeria should asked Italy and Germany who you are, is it not at the Olympics tournament you played Italy? I don’t even know maybe u knew that Nigeria has won gold, silver and bronze at the Olympic football tourney before (first and only african to achieve that). you also said that you have been playing with your second team against Nigeria since the demise of your first team in 1993. asked yourself, if the entire squads of your 1993 where to be alife, would they be still playing for your national team till now? those that played against Nigeria at the 1994 final really played the best of football because they want to win it for their fallen hero, that is why it seems the game was difficult then. who knows maybe your claimed first team would have lost gallantly if to say they were alive to play the match then, because Nigeria has the best sets of players in Africa back then.. I now even remembered that you have onced tried to debate with Ghana also.

  33. @KM, it’s either you are high on weed or you are just a little boy who know nothing concerning football. You claim Nigeria was nowhere before 1993? Are you always this daft? Or you choose days to be stupid and today happens to be one?. Nigeria won it’s first nations cup in 1980. Where was zambia then? You keep talking about the crash that killed Zambian players in 1993 (May their would continue to RIP), but then fastfoward since 1993 till date,if those players were to be alive, will they still be playing?
If you have nothing useful to say, just shut up and read. Nigeria and Zambia have never been mates. We are well far above you in every sphere of football. Lol.. look at the useless statement you made “that zambia always gets bad officiating”. Lolz so FIFA and CAF are always out to make sure Zambia gets bad officiating..hahahahah..
It’s obvious your head is empty.

    Did you know that;

Nigeria has won the nations cup 3 times(1980,1994 and 2013)

Nigeria has won the Olympics Gold in 1996 beating Argentina and Brazil to the trophy.
And also has a silver and bronze medal in olympics football.

Nigeria has won the under 17 world championship 5 times (highest in Fifa).

Nigeria had appeared in the world cup more than any african team.

Nigeria has reached the semi final of the nations cup more than any team in africa.

Let me not even talk of the women national team cos I’m not even sure Zambia women play football..lol.

The clubs Nigerian players play and have played will remain a dream to Zambian players..

Dude, we are not mates in football.

  34. @ K M
Stop whipping up sentiments about Zambia’s losing her A tean in the 1993 crash. Are the 1993 Nigerian players still in active football as players? Really absurd reasoning. Why don’t you want to put this unfortunate incident behind you? Grow up and stop clutching at this misfortune to justify the failings of boastful Zambians. Soccer is played on the pitch. Soccer is approximately 60% mental and only 40% physical, but the Zambians think it is 50% oral (boasting) and 50% physical ( running around like decapitated chickens on the pitch). How can you face Nigeria with such attitude and win? Never.

  35. Guys, stop wasting your time with the ignoramus km. Even England are afraid of being in the same world cup group as Nigeria. No team in world football takes Nigeria for granted but most do not even know where Zambia is. They sometimes Zambia and Gambia Lol!
Nigeria has the best record of any African team in the world cup, 3 2nd round appearances out of 5. Zambia went to the U20 world cup and came back empty handed, yet keep boasting about their U20 team. FYI, Nigeria was at the Olympics last year and came back with bronze. Do you hear us making noise about that? Most of the Olympic team cannot even make the Super Eagles unlike Zambia who have moved their U20 team into the Cheap polo polo.

  36. They are under achievers considering their massive 250 million people with the entire Zambian population swallowed by Lagos alone.

  37. I do,not need to Google, to know. Nigerians football. The information is on my finger tips.nigeria has the population of about more than 186 million people. Yet they have produced less than 7 African footballer of the year.If you are good in arithmetic, the ratio here is 1:27 Which means that 27 million of Nigerian population produced 1 African footballer of the year since the country started to exsist called Nigeria. Compare with Zambia. We are 14 million in population. We have produced 2 player of the year in Africa, since the country started to exsist as Zambia.Simple arithmetic shows that 1:7.if you can’t understand, this means that 7 million of zambian population produced 1 player of the year..Of the two countries, which one is fertile for football talent?.Here even a baby can say it’s Zambia. Why? You only need 7 million people to produce a player of the year as compared to Nigeria who may need 27 million people to produce a player of the year. The land is not fertile in for football in Nigeria. It’s only fertile for witchcraft movies.

    • So population plays football? why aren’t China, India, USA leading in football? Please, go and sleep. Football is a game of 11 Players.

  38. Going home my friend. I didn’t finish. You Ave won 3 Africa of nations and Zambia has 1.The ratio is 1 :14 million per zambian population. Nigerians ratio is 1:62 million has won the Africa cup of nation.

HERE are the facts,It requires. 62 million Nigerians if not more to win 1 Africa cup since the country called Nigeria started to exsist. Then it requires 14 million Zambians to 1 Africa cup since the country called Zambia started to exists.

Another fact, it requires 27 million Nigerians to produce 1 player of the year.It requires 7 million zambian s,To produce a player of the year.

The population is not fertile for in Nigeria for football. This disqualify Nigeria to be a football powerhouse.Personally, ave never recognized Nigeria to be a power house.

Nigerians are only power house to
NORYHOOD movies, with full of spiritism, witchcraft, and false prophets. You have the right to boast on these, not on football.

I do not need Google, to know Nigeria, I have the information on my finger tips.

  39. This Zambians will kill me wih laughter, so football is now about population? I will India and China will have to say something about that. JOKERS!!

  40. BTW, I am currently watching a Spanish La Liga game between Girona and Deportivo La Coruna. Girona have a Nigerian striker, Kayode Olanrewaju and Deportivo have an 18 years old Nigerian keeper, Francis Uzoho in goal. Both players were not part of the squad that beat Zambia home and away. You can imagine the strength in depth of Nigeria. When was the last time Zambia had a player in La Liga?

  41. Dammy!,am not making you laugh, Am just giving you logical reasoning to help you not to boast. You mentioned that population does not matter, you are lying. You can’t football with less than ten players.Fifa will not you to register. You 11 players and above. The bigger the population afford you more opportunities to pick best players in the nation team. All this is logical reasoning. You do not need to be University graduate to comprehend this logic. Nigerians you many, you are more more than 186 million in number, you stand a better chance than Zambia to spread your Net and pick best players. No wander I was introducing the ideal of ratios.

If you laugh over this simple reasoning, just how much more will comprehend deep matters. Its not a laughing matter. Its just exposes your shallow mind.

You mentioned india, its true they have a second biggest population in the world, just second to China. The don’t boast over football, they boast over cricket. They are cricket power house. Not Football

The same with you Nigerians boast with what you ave dominated Africa, (woman football, movies full of spiritism and witchcraft and a largest number of false prophets).if you can boast on these, then it will make sense. Not on football

Also you have a lot of players who were not born in Nigeria, for example victor moses and others you know.its either there fathers, left your country for greener pastures in England or other countries in Europe .hence ave lived and exposed to European leagues. Not breaking from NPL(nigeria professional league) ,which does not perform well on African soil.

You should remember this, also your country was affected much by slave trade, they were taken as slave. They even fought wars such as first and second world wars in behalf of countries such as France, England and Spain. That’s. Why you a lot of Nigerians foreigners in Europe, others even being born there.they grew up in such play football with European, hence many are in those leagues. All it’s because of slave trade and leaving your in search of the so called greener.

It’s something, which Zambia does not envy you or we do not admire that.Becouse it was due to slave trade you and unemployment, you are many in Europe and European leagues.

We zambians are not jealous of you Nigerians but we feel pity for you.More especially of what you Ave gonne, through.

It is this time players like victor moses realized this and they chose to play for Nigeria. He has option to play for England or Nigeria.

You cannot be proud of such situations which you Nigerians and other west African team have passed. Slave trade and being illegal immigrants, and there after you granted citizenship to live there?.its not something to be proud o

Your league is very poor to compete at African stage. Is this what you call power house in football?.

You call this as powerhouse in football when most of your overseas players are a product of slave trade and illegal immigration? .

You can see for yourself, this is the I don’t need to attend a Nigerian college or university to know this.I do need to Google to this.

You Ave lean in this in your school, college and universities. It’s important for to know this, then you will a basis to boast.

Muterbarruka, once said in song(mamaland). “If you do not know where you come from, you are doomed to live in chain”.

My dear Nigerians, find out why, you so many in, Europe and even in foot leagues. It boils down to this, slave trade, illegal immigration and looking for greener pasture.

All this does not make you a football power house.Because you are coming from slavery ,illegal immigration and leaving your own country which is underdeveloped you go greener pastures in Europe.

Am being sincere,am being balanced. If you can’t trust what am saying, as your grand parents, if they are still young, go to your great grand parents, they will tell you.If you can’t trust them,go to your professor, he should have this information on his finger tips if he is qualified to be a professor.he will inform you.If can trust these sources, then you can Google.

The conclusion of matter, after everything has been explained, is Nigeria is not a football powerhouse, it has never been a power house. But nollyhood powerhouse. You are the masters of witchcraft, spiritism movies.

  42. Loooooooool..ahahahahahaha. .This KM dude may commit suicide soon over Nigeria.???.
He even said victor moses was born in england..ahahahahahaha..
Don’t even dare start comparing Nigeria to Zambia.. How can you compare sleep to death? Hahahahahahahaha. Jealousy has eaten deep into you..
    LoooooooooooooooooooooooooooL
You will and must watch us play in Russia. You have no choice. And it will break your heart the more..lol.
I’m sure you have nightmares every night.. take heart bro.. wake up to the reality, Zambia’s level remains at COSAFA. LoooooooooooooooL ..sad but true.???????

  43. Next time, check your mouth before you boast.clean your dirty before you tell others that they are dirty. This is my last contributions on this topic. My humble appeal learn to accept reality,.

That you were slaves, you fought wars on behalf of (England, Spain, France) .nowander you are many playing soccer in those countries .

You Ave been illegal immigrants, you forced yourself in Europe for greener pastures, nowander you are many playing in Europe.

Zambians will never be Jealous of Nigeria. By contrast zambians will sorry. And pity you of what you Ave gone through. Slave trade

Your professional league does not perform on African soil..This shows that you are not power house in football. See you on the next topic. Ave closed this chapter.

  44. @Mr km, you said moses was born in england, it is completely wrong. Moses was born in Nigeria and was taken to england at the age of eleven. you said most nigerian players were born in europe that is why they are playing in europe, let me ask you km is the likes of finidi, amuneke ,okocha, kanu, ikpeba, oliseh, taribo west etc and now enyeama ,martins, mikel, musa, onazi iheanacho, ndidi etc were they born in europe. Am sure most zambians have watch them play several times in european leagues including you km, yes you km the wailing wailer

  45. Which country in africa has ever be ranked 5th in africa since 1994 till date. if nigeria is not a power house in africa. I can now see hatred and jelousy and fustration among zambians. If nigerians are not good then they can’t be in world every year. Thank God the new caf president aknowledges nigeria as the best team in africa to qualify. Your hatred and jelousy, fustration will never make you to qualify to world cup. Always celebrate with others. When you learn to celebrate others, other will celebrate you.

  46. @ KM
Good riddance for refusing to comment again on this topic. It would be fine if you do not comment on this platform altogether – your jumbled, incoherent, illogical writing is so painful to read, and it doesn’t educate anyone, Zambian or Nigerian. With the exception of you and your ilks that spew up bitter rantings, which I think has more to do with your personality, I’m sure that the average Chipolopolo fan would celebrate and support the SE during their Russian exploits next year. And the Nigerian fans would keep up the cheer for Chipolopolo, provided they do the right things and don’t have unrealistic expectations when facing the SE. We’ve come a long way, my man. We’ve paid our dues to stamp our feet on the African football scene.

I’ve even been so liberal, revealing some secrets why Nigeria is a real powerhouse in African football, but KM is so negative that he didn’t even acknowledged that contribution. KM has nothing to offer to the growth of African football. His stock in trade is jealousy, wishful thinking and attempting to reap without sowing. By the way, as long as this item is not taken off by the editors, Nigerians would continue to comment. WE NEVER GIVE UP. (Another secret, inadvertently revealed).

  47. Would Nigeria have won the Afcon in 1980 if they weren’t the hosts? Would Nigeria have won the 1994 Afcon against a full strength-ed Zambian team considering they struggled against the Zambian C Team. Would Nigeria have won the 2013 Afcon if the top teams of 2012 weren’t fatigued leading to none of the 2012 top teams making it to the final; an unmatched anomaly, never to be repeated. Nigeria can qualify in a format of five best teams of Africa but when the available slot is just one eg the Afcon; previous World Cup qualifiers in 1980’s, 1970’s, 1960’s; Nigeria falters! Nigeria’s braggadocio claims are always hyphenated by the word Africa eg giant of “Africa”, “Africa’s” biggest economy, “African” footballing superpower because they are acutely aware, outside of Africa they are minnows, even within Africa they are never top; the South African and Egyptian economy amongst a number of others are bigger than the Nigerian economy; the only thing made in Nigeria and consumed by a number of Africans is Nollywood; otherwise a population of around 170 million; half America’s population, 50% living under $2 a day, one tenth of China or India’s population can’t create much demand versus the one billion population of the rest of Africa.

    • Lol… Are u not stupid? Very stupid at that.. You are describing other nations. Say something about your zambia. Dullard…loooool. Y’all keep mentioning nollywood..wow so y’all watch nigerian movies? Lol.. and of course Nigerian music too….I know the real hatred you have for Nigeria is cos your women follow Nigerian men like flies follow faeces..loooooooool.
Take heart dude, you have to endure it.
When Nigeria sneezes, every other african nations catches cold.
      Deal with that.ahahahahahahahahha

      • Born to be idiot naijaguy; I have no hatred of Nigerians; the number of Zambian gals going out with Nigerians, in Zambia, is minuscule, reflective of the few Nigerians in Zambia. All I am saying is smell the coffee; respect other African countries because, in a worldly context, we, as African countries, are politically, economically, “tiny”; nothing to write home about. Nigeria’s economic footprint, in Africa, is more as consumer than manufacturer; most of the oil, Nigeria produces, like Angola’s oil, is exported. The Nigerian consumption plays a part in the West African economy but is of little significance outside of West Africa. Sober up and be humble; don’t hide behind a cocktail of empty boasts and stupidity; after all if it weren’t for Cameroon’s intervention, in fighting Bokkoharam; remember how the Nigerian army failed to militarily contain Charles Taylor; no such thing as a super power in Africa; can only be likened to a poor man bragging he is a tycoon amongst his fellow peers because he has $2 more than the rest. Humble up simple fool.

  48. Population has nothing to do with football. Look at india and china where are they today in terms of football, are they not more than nigeria. Now compare with cape verd that is small u will no that football is not by a population. Zambian’s will continue to remain in a static position in africa when they continue to leave in jelousy and hatred. How can u go to world cup when ur loquacious coach thinks that football is played by the mouth. Do u think nigerians are fools to allow zambian’s to beat them at this crucial time when nigeria has 10 points? Even if fifa decide to repeat this match in a neutral ground, nigeria will still defect zambia. As for km who thinks nigeria is a place full of witches because of their nollywood films, i want to let u know that u are living in ignorance because there is no where in africa u can’t find witches and wizard.we always get information here in nigeria how rituals and killing, snatching of husband take place in kenya and zambia. Don’t try to remove dirty from ones eyes when u know that your own is full of dirt. Zambia will continue to remain in the dark, unless they learn how to humble themselves and other african countries. u can’t compare zambia to nigeria in terms of football when will have teams like ghana, cameroun, egypt, senegal, tunisia. Learn to respect a good team, because football is not played by mouth according to ur boastful coarch who thinks football is played like a sholin soccer.
