THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says it will weigh conditions attached to the Nike deal before renewing the contract which expired last year.
Nike, an American sports attire- manufacturing company, has been the sponsors of the Chipolopolo and other age- group teams.
FAZ general secretary George Kasengele said in Lusaka yesterday the association will seriously look into the offer that is on the table before committing itself.
“The executive committee of FAZ met over the weekend and the resolution was that we should consider a number of options before giving them [Nike] the contract. Talks have already started and will be able to give a briefing on what will transpire,” Kasengele said.
The national team kit has been a subject of much debate as the national squad has even been subjected to training in their playing strip since 2010.
The Chipolopolo commenced preparations for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations before receiving their training gear ahead of the Equatorial Guinea tournament.
continue with Nike, its the best so far. if the contact fails, then get a Puma deal.
This is not the best kit for our team. Look at what SA, Nigeria and Ghana wear and compare to ours! Ours look cheap, and can FAZ please look at the combination of colours!
You mean the deal that is in Kalu’s name and address?
Ii would go for PUMA anyday and anytime. It looks far much better….
I personally don’t like puma…do u see how Ghanains n Ivorians look? The tops are tight but the shorts are awfully big.
I think Puma is better mwee. The current chipolopolo jersey is an eyesore, especially the ZAWA one. Aweee!
Nike is good, just design it properly with good colour combination.
nike ni best.jst get orange 1 wit a green stripe
