Fashion Sakala scores in Oostende draw

Zambia national soccer team striker Fashion Sakala on Saturday came off the bench to score a goal for his Belgian side KV Oostende in their 1 – 1 draw against Waasland-Beveren.

Sakala started the game on the bench and was introduced in the 46th minute for Vanlerberghe.

He was on target in the 60th minute to give his team the lead.

Oostende however conceded an own goal in the 69th minute and the game ended 1 – 1.

The 21 year old has scored three goals in 22 appearances for his club.

He has been called to the Zambia U23 national team that is preparing for the clash against Malawi.

    This is really good news for our boy but truth be told 3 in 22 is not the best return for a striker. I hope this is the beginning of goal scoring consistency for the lad.
