Zambia U20 national team midfielder Emmanuel ‘The maestro’ Banda has signed for Belgiun top flight side KV Oostende from Portguese fourth tier side Esmoriz.
Banda inked a three year deal that will see him remain on the books of Oostende until 2020.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that many clubs were interested in landing the attacking midfielder including FC Porto.
But the 19 year old opted to switch from Portugal to Belgium.
The offer from Oostende came through FIFA Agent Nir Karin who presented the deal to the player and the club and helped with negotiations.
The 19 year old was key in helping the Zambia U20 win the Africa Cup of Nations tournament before making history with his colleagues when they reached the quarter final stage of the world cup.
Oostende last season finished 5th on the Belgian First Division Table.
He deceived it and my best player.
Great boy, good offer. Give it all boy, you got talent
He deceived it and he was my best player.
I’m guessing you meant to say he “deserved it”
He deceived me! Love your brain man!!
He gets full marks anyway!!!
Lol ati “you deceived it”.
Lol
U SHOULD BE HUNGED IN THE VICTORIAN FALLS……..
HAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAHAHAHA
Great news, He preferred going to that club instead of Porto who were trying to sign him, that is good as he will get more developed here that likely sitting on the at Porto. Good move and congrats to the young men.
than likely…
True that
Good move. In two years time, we will have a versy strong Chipolopolo. We only need the right coach to manage them. Why has Cletus Chama been left out of the COSAFA squad. Sometimes I dont understand Wada.
Fwayo missing on the list? kaya mama, hope wada wada knows what he is doing
Powerful! Congrats and Godspeed!!
Nice move…..what had happened to that Zambian FIFA agent? A lot of noise was made when he qualified as an agent….to date the chap has not concluded any meaningful deal…..All sensible deals for Zambian players still come from.this Isreali guy
All the best – and good luck!!!
I know many of us Zambians have a bad taste in our mouths for Porto after Mbola failed to crack it at the club…..I think that is one of the problems with us Zambians we are so quick to point and blame and never look introspectively at any situation. We always want to blame the other. Maybe Mbola failed at Porto not because of Porto but because he was not good enough to crack a first team spot.
I will always have great respect for Porto and mainly for two reasons 1. they won the champions league with virtually no big name players and 2. what playing for them did for one of Africa’s greatest players, Benni Mcarthy.
That said this is still a good move for this lad. I have seen how this club has grown one of South Africa’s senior players into a full professional, Andile Jali. All the best to the lad and this move has the potential to grow his career to really great heights.
Well said
Portugal generally has been difficult hunting ground for us – Kalaba at Spoting Bragga, Mbesuma at Maritimo, maybe that Chingola Nchnaga guy who played there and was banned for signing two contracts – somewhere in the 90’s
Great move indeed. Belgium and Holland have usually been good for Zambian players
Come on Banda I know you will read this…you are an amazing midfielder, first one in training and last one to leave should be your new strategy! You have a sweet left, perfect it sonny, it will take you places? Am excited to see your career grow!!
…sweet left shot…
Good move.
Sweet left foot!! Boy disappears in the games which earns him a substitution…boy pops up with an accurate left shot when it matters the most. Takes a wonderful free kick that is inch perfect in avoiding the wall and count on him his shots will avoid bodies with laser precision…are you going to become like Wijnaldum or better? Cool customer if you can stop the disappearing acts…
The team Emma is gone for also have Zim’s Musona.
Kwaaameeeh my friend, when President Addo is visiting Zambia you want someone to be thrown into the Victoria Falls? Lol.
AMAAAAAN-DLAAAA AWEEEETU!!!
HOW IS KWAME GOOD OLD PAL AMANDLA DOING?
LOOOOONG TIME BUDDY !!
U CANT ( DECEIVE ) TO (DESERVE) –HAAHAAAA
Congrats to the young man. Wish him well. Nir Karin has helped a lot of Zambian players clinch deals. Kudos to him.
