Sven names strong squad for Guinea Bissau clash

Chipolopolo Boys coach Sven Vandenbroeck has named his squad to face Guinea Bissau for next week’s back to back African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Supersport United ‘s Gamphani Lungu has been dropped due to lack of game of time at his club.

Nkwazi goalkeeper Charles Mutanga has replaced Power Dynamos’ Lawrence Mulenga while Zesco United left back Fackson Kapumbu has made a return to the squad.

Vandenbroeck also explained that Green Eagles winger Spencer Sautu was close to making the team but there’s a lot of competition in wide areas.

It is pretty the same squad which i think can deliver if the coach plays his cards right. The coach must not make the mistake of leaving Mwepu on the bench like before.

LUCK ALSO COUNTS. BUT IF YOU HAVE NO LUCK CREATE YOUR OWN LUCK BY CREATING MORE SCORING CHANCES AND LAYING THE BALL FOR OTHERS TO SCORE

Which Emmanuel Banda has returned to the squad?? What a miss! there is no Emmanuel Banda in the squad……please revisit the released list.

    • Mingalato says:

It’s ok, Emmanuel may not even play. There are 8 midfielders.
Infact Sven should just play with 2 defenders, Kabaso na Sunzu.

Were is kaseba from green Eagle’s

  8. E. Ngosamu says:

I expected Nathan Sinkala and Kalaba to be dropped for younger players! What’s strong about a team that failed to bit small team Namibia! What is attractive about Fashion Sakala, if he knows no team work like Lionel Messi!

  9. hunter shilesa says:

the coach should play the winning squad he used in a friendly game against Gabon. dont feature Sunzu, Kalaba or Sinkala. the loosing trio are slow and have no fighting spirit.

  10. The coach has called people who can make it up, but let him not use kalaba as number ten,l et kalaba play number eleven with fashion on the bench, then shonga number ten with daka 9,lubambo on the right wing, mwepu and sinkala as middle,on the bench kambole as number ten, Zambia will make it again, go Zambia go!!!!!
