Emmanuel Banda opens 2018/19 account with face saver for Oostende
Emmanuel Banda opened his 2018/2019 season goal scoring account for KV Oostende when he scored a late face saver in his club’s 3 – 1 home loss to Standard Liege.
The attacking midfielder was making only his third substitute appearance for the club after starting the season in the treatment room and he made a claim for a start berth with a 90th minute goal.
The 21 year old was introduced in the game in the 52nd minute in a game another Zambian striker Fashion Sakala started.
Sakala was substituted in the 78th minute after being booked in the 61st minute.
Banda last season scored three goals in a competitions having made 19 appearances for the Belgian First Division side.
Oostende are currently in 8th position.
