Draw with Napsa Stars a fair result says Eagles coach
Green Eagles and Napsa Stars shared the spoils on Sunday after they played to 1-1 draw in a week six MTN/FAZ Super League fixture played at Woodlands Stadium.
Green Eagles Assistant Coach Alex Namazaba believes it was a fair result.
“Somehow yes we are happy with the Result it was a tough game especially in the first half, Napsa was all over in the midfield but in the second half we improved and managed so 1-1 is okay but we had chances to Score,” he said.
“The league is still on and we still have a lot of games to play so we will still go back to the drawing board, we were supposed to win this game but the finishing was not clinical.”
Namazaba added that the Inclusion of players who were involved in the CHAN qualifiers (Tapson Kaseba, Amity Shamende, and Sebastian Mwange) did not affect the team in any way.
“We had other replacement but we still needed those players and this did not affect the performance in any way,” he said.
Napsa Stars are third on 11 Points while the Choma giants are fifth with 11 points as well but the goal difference separates the two sides.
Napsa’s next match is on Thursday 24th October against Nkwazi at 15:00 while Eagles will host Green Buffaloes in Choma.
