European based Chipolopolo stars led by Stopilla Sunzu have left their bases and are on their way to Ndola ahead of the dead rubber World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
Fashion Sakala, Enock Mwepu, Patson Daka, Emmanuel Banda and Edward Chilufya make up the rest of the European contigent. They are all expected to arrive on Tuesday.
Of the six, Sunzu is the most experienced having made his international debut in 2008 and has gone on to win the African Cup of Nations in 2012.
The rest were members of the famed class of 2017 which won gold on home soil in the Under-20 AFCON.
Striker Patson Daka is the most experienced having won his Chipolopolo debut in 2015 against Equatorial Guinea.
Mwepu and Fashion have three and two caps respectively while Banda is yet to win a full debut.
Swedish based Chilufya will be hoping for his first senior cap.
Coach Wedson Nyirenda already has South African based stars in camp led by goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene.
The others are Rodrick Kabwe, Justin Shonga and fit again Brian ‘The Hammer’ Mwila.
Zambia has 7 points and a point ahead of third placed African Champions Cameroon.
Algeria are rock bottom with a point.
Nigeria who are 13 points have already qualified to Russia 2018 World Cup.
