The players who are unavailable for tonight’s clash include three African Cup of Nations winners.

This means that only Stoppila Sunzu returns to scene of the 2012 African Cup of Nations triumph.

The Belgian born trainer said TP Mazembe trio Rainford Kalaba, Nathan Sinkala and Kabaso Chongo have all being excused from the game.

“I made an agreement with Mazembe that I would have the three boys earlier in camp and would release them earlier because they have an away CAF Champions League first leg game,” Vandenbroeck said.

Vandenbroeck will also be without first choice goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene who injured his finger.

“Then we have one injury that is Mweene, with a finger injury, it was better to release him to his club to begin his rehab there,” Vandenbroeck said.

Winger Augustne Mulenga is also unavailable following the birth of his child.

“The last one is a private one, Mulenga has become a father so he has traveled to see wife and kid. It is always good to see a smile a on a players face when they become fathers again.”

Vandenbroeck also hinted that all the players in camp will have a run out.

“We have had a long trip to Gabon, we traveled first for 11 hours after the game and later seven hours on the last leg to Gabon so that is not the best preparations,” Vandenbroeck said.

Again; who is in this squad mwebantu bandi???

For all we know, only Chanda Beu and Kaminamina are left to play the match.

    • Big Steve 4rm SA says:

Its only five out of 26 players. There are still 21 players left. And isn’t Chanda Beu the late?

      • Positive Thinking says:

Big Steve. He is. I’m complaining more about the reporting, because Zamfoot has not published who in the squad travelled to Gabon. I have read 3 articles about Zambia going to Gabon, but no squad list so I was just letting it be known nati lembeni squad ili ku Gabon coz honestly I still don’t know.

Even it is the same 26 players who travelled to Namibia, just write it down so we don’t have to be looking through articles to find the squad. Just an editing thing.

You (people) wanted change, and now the that opportunity is there to try out others, again we are complaining, after all its a friendly games, let the coach have a good look at other players as well in a competitive games, especially those who did not have a run out in Namibia.

      • Positive Thinking says:

Anonymous, if you had seen my comment on the last article about Zambia in Gabon. I am not complaining about the players in the squad, I am simply stating that Zamfoot should publish who is in the squad because at this point it could be anybody.

I was trying to figure out who travelled to Gabon with the team. Do you know who is in the squad?
