Chipolopolo Cosafa squad date South Africa U23 in friendly match

Zambia national team will play a friendly match this afternoon against the South Africa U23 as part of their Preparations for the 2019 COSAFA Championships. The match will kick off at 15:00 hrs Zambian time.

The team had their first training session this morning in Durban at Newlands Club with Care taker coach Aggrey Chiyangi and his technical bench taking the lads through the paces.

Chiyangi is expected to tinker around with his team as he looks to get a clearer picture of which players to use on Sunday. Zambia who will join the competition at the quarter final stage will play its first game on Sunday against Group B winners Malawi.

Green Buffaloes defender Adrian Chama who will captain the team at the tournament is expected to start at the heart of defence alongside Tandi Mwape while Gift Zulu and Lawrence Chungu take up the right and left back positions.

In Midfield Chiyangi has a lot of options with Jack Chirwa, Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Benson Sakala, Austin Muwowo and Bruce Musakanya all looking to cement a place in the starting XI.

Zesco United star forward Lazarus Kambole is expected to lead the attack.
