Chipolopolo Assistant Coach: We have done our homework on Algeria
Chipolopolo Assistant Coach, Aggrey Chiyangi has said, his team is fully conversant of Algeria’s strengths and the Achilles heels.
Chiyangi was responding to the question by the Zamfoot Crew, during the pre-match briefing, in regards to how much knowledge the technical bench have acquired about their opponents, ahead of the clash tomorrow.
The Assistant Coach said, he and the team have been watching the Fennec’s recent matches and have jotted down their kryptonites, so as their strengths.
“It’s not like we don’t have so much information about Algeria. We have studied them a lot and we have been watching their previous matches,” said Chiyengi.
Meanwhile, Chipolopolo Skipper Kennedy Mweene has appealed to the fans to put a halt the tendency of booing the team.
The Shot-stopper said, the current Chipolopolo team is a mixture of young and old players, thus the act can have a negative effect of the former.
And Algeria Coach, Lucas Alcaraz is uncertain whether Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez will join the team in Zambia.
Mahrez was excused from the training camp in Algeria to finalize the deal with unmanned European club.
“I am not sure if Mahrez will join us and play tomorrow,” said Alcaraz.
Zambia and Algeria face off, tomorrow, the 2nd September of 2017, in the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at National Heroes Stadium.
