  1. Ba kalamba ba Andrew Kamanga and your FAZ, please learn to take all of these game seriously.

You say the U20 will enter camp on this day and they may play some International Friendly matches, but which ones? Is not clear and knowing your FAZ nothing like that is going to happen.

Here is a piece of advise from Sabata for free.

There are at present a lot of players from West Africa, East Africa, Zimbabwe and from Congo plying their trade in Zambia with local clubs.

So why look elsewhere for international friendlies when you can form international teams within Zambia?

Invite players from East Africa (Burundi, Rwanda, and Kenya) who are based in Zambia, pay them a participation fee, and let them form a local legion, to play the U20. Or as the case may be in future, to play the U 23 or even the National Team. To make this team exciting, you could let soccer fans especially ZAMFOOT bloggers select a coach and name a player for each position and have these games on the Copperbelt or Midlands. Again to make it more exciting let them play in places like Livingstone, Mongu, Kasama, Mansa, Solwezi et, where soccer fans hardly see their National Team.

Since we are playing Burundi, select East Africans, in future when we date a team from West Africa, prepare with a select side from the the West African legion, when we play Zimbabwe, South Africa or Namibia, we play a select legion from this region. For Congo, Congo DR and Cameroun playing 2 or 3 games against the talented legion of the Walter Binene’s, Mbombo and other local stars from our neigbouring country would give you the best preparatory game to confidently face teams from these countries.

I think this would work out better than preparing against Kabwe Warriors and City of Lusaka. Besides what happened to the “All Stars Vs the Rest?” preparatory games that used to take place on selected stadia on the Copperbelt and in Midlands? Can’t these be revised as an un-biased selection of National Team players?

    • @Kasama Boy your heart is in the right place but I have to say that such a plan could never in a million years achieve what the whole point of a friendly is meant to achieve. Friendlies are not just about having a soccer match, its about developing quality of play by building cohesion, systems, partnerships and this can only be achieved by playing against organized teams, in this case other national teams or clubs.

Gathering a group of players, bunching them together and making a team and then getting them to play your national team is ultimately useless to your national team but good for the bunched up team because for them they will be playing against an organized team. It will not develop your national team lads in anyway except for them to have fun against mostly amateurs.

I agree with you that FAZ is failing us when it comes to arranging of friendlies but lets be stead fast in demanding quality friendlies that will challenge our boys and not play into FAZ hands by accepting for our national team to play non-competitive friendlies.

    • Who will force their clubs to release them?? Let the team play Zesco, Nkana and Power senior teams and that is that

  2. Who is Damiano Kola. Where did he get the experience from. If he is that good, write to FAZ about him. It is so sad when deserving boys are left out of youth squads. Why is this trend so prevalent in Zambian football? Is it corruption associated with marketing of preferred players?! Look at how Spencer Sautu is being ignored for selection to Chipos. Kamanga pliz deal with this nonsense

  3. Burundi clash will be tough coz they are using grandfathers.

Players should aim at finishing off the fixture here than wait for thuggery and intimidation in Burundi.

Unlike Rwanda who are civilised, those guys will try hard to indimidate our boys.
