CCC: Sinkala scòres in Mazembe win, Lwandamina’s Yanga win

Nathan Sinkala was on target for his club TP Mazembe when they won 2 – 0 at home against JS Kabylie of Algeria in the pre-group stage round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Sinkala was named in the starting line up together with Chipolopolo skipper Rainford Kalaba while Given Singuluma was on the bench.

They both played he entire game.

Kabaso Chongo was not in the team.

Sinkala opened  the scores in the 12th minute and Mazembe had to wait until the 87th minute before Coulibally could add a second to give the Congo DR giants a good cushion for the second leg.

Mazembe play Kabylie in he return leg next Sunday in Algeria.

In other CAF Confederations Cup news, George Lwandamina’s Young Africans of Tanzania pulled off a narrow 1 – 0 win over MC Algers.

Obey Chirwa played in the game while Justin Zulu missed the game due to injury.

Yanga play the return match this Saturday.

  1. This lad should consider a second try in Europe. In as much as the salary at TP is probably more than a lot of clubs in Europe he should prove to himself and to us that the failed stint was just a once off and that he has what it takes to make it just like his brother did.

    Other than that well done Nathan, this is the news that makes us bask in hope as we approach the Afcon and world cup qualifiers.

    • I would equally love to see him play in a competitive European league but also understand that you cannot take yourself there. European clubs should for starters be interested in your services. Trying to prove fans wrong is a risky undertaking which may even economoically disadvange the lad.
