Zesco United have qualified to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup after they beat Nigerian champions Enugu Rangers 3 – 0 to proceed on a 5 – 2 aggregate scoreline.
John Chingandu scored a brace while Jesse Were scored the other apart from providing an assist in a game the Zambian team dominated in a departments.
It was always going to be a difficulty game for the visitors who only arrived in the country less than two hours before kick off and were lucky their hosts were kind enough to move the kick off time.
Zlatko Krmpotic restored Idriss Mbombo to the starting eleven after he missed he first leg in place of Patrick Kongolo.
Mbombo was looking effective in attack as Zesco pinned Enugu in their half right from the start.
Jesse Were tested keeper as early as the third minute with a header
More to follow…..
Congrats Zesco well done guys, continue with da same spirit
Enugu is now burried six feet under, rest in peace & enjoy your trip. Zescolo congrats, indeed team yaziko. We are proud of you.
Right now it feels good to Zambian left right and centre
The title is not appropriate. Does it imply that Were’s goal is of no value? Zesco could have gone through had the three goals not been scored. That having being said I salute that Chingandu……that boy is bad news.
Zega mambo
Viva Zega
zega zesco zega zesco zega zesco the team. watch out we are coming in the league guy
Ba Zamfoot ni 5 – 2 on aggregate naimwe!!!! Teti mwatekanyafye paku lemba!
The Nigerian is quiet kikikikiki
Maybe he has been beheaded by boko haram kikikiki
Congratulations load shedders
you have done us proud.
this ching’andu guy is bad news indeed he’s eyes are fixed upon the goal we need him in Chan squad.
Very true,I have a feeling that with good team selection we may win CHAN. I am happy zesco is managed professionally….management needs to be congratulated….
John Ching’andu is a marvel to watch. He has now netted 3 classical goals with the same style. To me, his header too was out of this world.
@ kasama boy ati” his header not on earth” then where? . umuntu mutwe ” former kaboss”
Zesco should win this cup they have what it take to rift this cup all the best zega mambo
Congratulations ZESCO – agree with kasama Boy Chingandu’s header looked so calm and almost like he was bored!
This is a lesson to all West African countries who think they can land in Zambia anytime and play for a win. These guys aren’t serious. And that goal keeper who was limping? What were they thinking. The should have researched what ZESCO was doing lasting year before even stepping on that plan. Besides, ZESCO had managed to come from behind after falling- off 2 goals down. Uhmmmmm! Nigerians!
