CAF honcho names Kamanga in CHAN organizing committee

Football Association of Zambia boss, Andrew Kamanga’s has been appointed as a member in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) organizing committee.

This appointment comes after the Zambian FA honcho was appointed in one of the FIFA committees.

With less than 2 years in power Kamanga is swiftly but certainly growing to have a continental clout in football.

In CAF’s African Nations Championship Organizing committee, Kamanga will be under the leadership of Liberia Football Association president, Musa Billity, who had his aspirations blocked to vie for the presidential seat in the 2016 FIFA elections.

Kamanga is a committee member of the Cosafa, the region that had resolved with it’s presidency, Philip Chiyangwa to vote for Ahmad Ahmad, for the CAF presidency as a bloc.

In a few months, Kamanga and his colleagues will handle their first task–as the next African Nations Championship (CHAN) is billed for early next year in Morocco.

The previous edition was a top drawer staged in Rwanda and the new organizing committee will be under pressure to deliver a much better tourney in a few months after Kenya was stripped of the rights to host and organize the 2018 tournament in September.

Kamanga will bring on board the experience of having led the organizing and successful hosting of the 2018 U20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Lusaka.
