CAF CL: Watch-out Kalampa!! Clatous Chama demolishes Swallows as Simba now awaits Nkana
Chipolopolo attacking midfielder Clatous Chota Chama was in unstoppable form on Tuesday afternoon when helped Tanzanian Champions Simba to a 4 – 0 win over Mbabane Swallows in the second leg of the preliminary round of the 2018/19 CAF Champions League.
Chama scored a brace and made an assist as his team marched on to the first round of the competition with a staggering 8 – 1 aggregate scoreline.
He opened the scores in the 28th minute when he pounced on a poor clearance then beat his marker on the edge of the box to pick his spot with a low well placed shot that beat the goalkeeper.
He was at it again when he started a move deep in his half before beautifully exchanging one touch passes with his striker for him to complete the move with a shot in the box that beat the goalkeeper for Simba to end the half with a two goal cushion.
Despite Swallows starting the second half strong, Emmanuel Okwi made it three after the restart with some individual brilliance before Chama popped up on the right this time to lay an inviting ball for Meddie Kagere who slammed the ball home from the top of the box.
The former Lusaka Dynamos gem cold have had a hat-trick when he dispossessed a defender and beat the goalkeeper but he decided to unselfishly lay the ball for his fellow attacker only the resultant shot to come off the upright.
Triple C has now scored three goals in two games in the 2018/19 Champions League.
Simba will meet Nkana in the first round of the competition should the Kitwe giants progress past Songo on Wednesday. Nkana have a 2 – 1 advantage from the away game.
