Nakambala Leopards Vs Green Buffaloes
Nakambala Leopards Stadium
It took much longer than anyone would have hoped but Bilton Musonda finally got his first win on his return as GBFC coach.
Picking up three points wasn’t enough to get them to better position, but it did give them some hope that the season is not going to be a total write off.
Consistency has been a big problem for Nakambala Leopards over the past two seasons but with a win and two losses in their last three games, they might just be putting something together.
Green Buffaloes has scored just eight goals all season and there are serious questions about whether or not they have the firepower to chase down Nakambala Leopards at home. Which I doubt . This has a draw written all over it.
My Prediction: Nakambala Leopards 0-0 Green Buffaloes
Zesco United Vs Kabwe Warriors
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium
Live on SuperSport
The only thing which may get in the way of ZESCO United winning this game is a residual hangover from their mid week super League game in Lusaka on Wednesday.
Things did not go to plan for the defending champion as they got a point from a winning position, they were put as heavy favourites and they will be looking to avoid a repeat showing here.
It caps a busy fortnight which included a draining clash against Nakambala Leopards last week and George Lwandamina will need to ensure his side are not overlooking this clash.
Even if they do it, its still a tough task for a Kabwe Warriors side that do not know how to beat ZESCO UNITED in Ndola but their motivation is their unbeaten run that they enjoy this season and their persuit of CAF slot. This has been one of Kabwe Warriors difficult places to visit. In the last 23 games, Kabwe Warriors have not won here and only count three draws while Zesco United overall have won 12 wins in 23, 8 at home and 4 away with Warriors only counting 3 wins in Kabwe.
This one looks like the end of the unbeaten run for the Kabwe outfit. That will mean going third if Zanaco picks even a draw in Kitwe.
My Prediction: ZESCO United 2-1 Kabwe Warriors
Red Arrows Vs Prison Leopards
A quick examination of Prison Leopard’s last six games might raise some concerns.
Four losses, one draw and just one win will not exactly inspire a whole lot of confidence in the City Council sponsored side but when you consider who those losses have come against, that should alleviate some of the concerns.
Red Arrow’s run of back to back wins also came to an end with a draw in the mid week at the hands of Zesco United, but with all due respect to Prison Leopards , they are not the same side as the Air men this time around even when they picked a point at home against this team.
Bruce Musakanya did open his season tally with a spectacular goal against Zesco United and the whole team should be able to compete much more in this one.
I can only see one winner .
My Prediction: Red Arrows 2-1 Prison Leopards
Lusaka Dynamos Vs Mufulira Wanderers
National Heroes Stadium
Four wins and two draws in the last six games and Lusaka Dynamo’s excellent run to the season continues, Everton meanwhile have hit their worst form without a win in four games now, as of late with three losses from their last four games.
They were impressive in their 2-1 win over Zesco United five games ago but after that, they have conceded 10 goals in four games but have been overly successful against Lusaka Dynamos in recent years.
In their last seven meetings, they have only lost once and won three added to the three draws, Mighty would think they have a chance here.
But then with the current situation , Even if the history was reversed it is far too hard to back against Lusaka Dynamos here, when they are in their current form. Lusaka Dynamos will win this one.
My Prediction: Lusaka Dynamos 3-1 Mufulira Wanderers .
Kitwe United Vs Zanaco
Garden Park Stadium
Live on SuperSport
The only way is up for ZANACO and they have a chance to gain some ground on fellow CAF slots battlers in Kabwe Warriors and ZESCO United who are meeting in Ndola. The visitors may start third before this game is played .
Kitwe United are right in the relegation zone with three draws and four losses in their last six games
Shockingly, ZANACO could go three games losing if they lose here after a very bright start
This screams out as a match of desperation and both sides will set up first and foremost to not lose this game. But at the moment , Kitwe United is not inspiring .
My Prediction: Kitwe United 0-2 ZANACO
Lumwana Radiants Vs Buildcon
Buildcon are finally in the winners circle this season and with nine points from their last three games, things might just be on the up.
Things are still coming up well for Lumwana Radiants despite their poor start and they are on two winning run , they had Nkana and Circuit City on the ropes and continue to impress under the new coach.
Outside of last week’s results, all indicators point to this game not being a draw because there has never been a draw the five times these two clubs have met. Buildcon has won three times and Lumwana has won twice .
Lumwana believe they can do it and Buildcon are doubting if they can do it. Why not give the team with a greater belief.
My Prediction: Lumwana Radiants 1-0 Buildcon.
Green Eagles Vs FC MUZA
Safe to say the Independence Stadium will be the most emotional venue in the Super League as the boys from Mazabuka visit for the first time in the super league status. Its a southern province affair.
MUZA are already on a two game losing strek before that, they had gone three games without a loss.
They claimed a hard fought victory against Napsa and two big draws against Nkana and Forest Rangers followed
With MUZA having conceded 14 goals in their last 11 games, Green Eagles should be looking at this game as a chance to have a tune up and give their goal difference a boost. Especially that MUZA doesn’t know how to score. They have only scored four goals , which is the worst record in both streams combined.
This trend will continue
My Prediction: Green Eagles 2-0 MUZA
Circuit City Vs NAPSA Stars
Edwin Imboela Stadium
What a way to start the weekend and head into week 12 in the super league, this Lusaka Derby might not be as straightforward as some would have you think.
In the first round at this same stadium, Circuit City were able to postpone Napsa’s joy with a 1-1 draw and Napsa had to come from behind and they meet again with both clubs struggling once more.
We all know about Circuit City’s interesting start to the season and they will be dreading the thought of losing it to their town mates who are desperately looking for three points as well. Napsa has not won in their last six games with four draws and two losses .
Both sides are certainly capable of scoring goals here but in a derby atmosphere such as this, do not be surprised if Fathi works his magic and keeps this game as a stepping stone. Otherwise nothing else is expected apart from a win and three points for Napsa Stars.
My Prediction: Napsa Stars 1-0 Circuit City
Nkwazi Vs Power Dynamos
Edwin Imboela Stadium
While the draw against Green Eagles was not what Power Dynamos were hoping to get out of that game, it was a very entertaining contest.
They go into this clash with Nkwazi expecting to come away with all three points and with the host suffering three straight league games without win after a strong start, this is a great opportunity for Power Dynamos to do just that.
Nkwazi needed three goals in their last win against Circuit City, after that its tough.
This stream has a lot of surprises and with Buildcon on top we could have a different leader after this round of games. The only thing that will prevent these two teams should one win and the top three drops points is their inferior goal difference they have against Buildcon for instance.
In the last 19 games between these two sides , we have 7 wins and 5 draws each . Then you know the number of loses. Another draw is here .
My Prediction: Nkwazi 1-1 Power Dynamos
Nkana Vs Forest Rangers
