Bwale not worried about Mwepu,Lameck Banda’s absence

Zambia U20 national team coach Charles Bwale is not sweating over the possibility of playing the 2018 COSAFA U20 championships without influential forwards Francisco Mwepu and Lameck Banda.

Lameck Banda is attending trials in Turkey at Turkish top flight side istanbul Başakşehir F.K who have the likes of Arda Turan and Emmanuel Adebayor on their roaster.

Mwepu on the other hand is in Austria where he is expected to train with Austrian Bundesliga champions Redbull Salzburg until december 17th which is three days after the final of the COSAFA tournament.

“We have enough players, We picked a 30 man squad. If you look at this stage it’s just developmental so we can’t depend on two players hence this will not affect us at all,” Bwale said.

Bwale is also expecting his boys to do well this time around after a disastrous first round exit in 2017.

” Most of our boys have grown and out of their shell. Definitely you are going to see an improvement team compared to what we did last time,” he said.

The 2018 COSAFA tournament will be held in Kitwe between 2nd and 14th December with Nkana Stadium as the main venue.

Zambian coaches are amazing. Even if the team changes with 2 or 3 players missing, these coaches will claim” no we will not be affected”. After being booted out they sing a different song! Be honest and let the truth come out, let yo yeah b yeah and own up.

Agree with you. A good coach always says he will miss super star.
And this attitude of “developmental” team is annoying. Development for who, since 2008 is developmental.
When will winning team come to being?
      Kalusha developed players like:
      Mweene
      Kalaba
      Mbesuma
      Katongo brothers, he added
      Nathan
      Stopilla
After that there has never been players.
Imagine 10 Years now no goalkeeper to help Mweene.

Great coach, let the 2 boys attend trails and get into Europe. The more pros we have in Europe at tender ages the better
