Buffaloes dominate team of the week again
The MTN/FAZ Super League week twelve matches came with alot of mixed performances from players and teams respectively. Sad faces from the fans of the losing teams and happy ones from the triumphant teams fans, So much emotions but that’s why people love the sport.
The Zamfoot crew were also on hand to pick their best performers of the week.
Team of the Week
GK-Fred Silwamba of GBFC has been given a node ahead of Philip Banda of NAPSA stars who also put in a great performance. Silwamba kept a clean sheet against a much fancied Zesco United with a number of great saves.
LB-Joseph Ochaya , The big Ugandan left back earned Lusaka dynamos three points with a wonderful free kick and a near prefect performance on the afternoon as was good both going forward and defending giving Davy Kalandanya a tough time.
RB-Gideon Sichone the GBFC defender was calm collected, good on the ball and helped the team whenever they were in attack.
CB-Faustin Bokadila, The Congolese big centre back was once again on pillar for Power dynamos as they recorded a one all draw with NAPSA stars.
CB-Buchizya Mfune, The Green Buffaloes captain was solid and commanded his back line well, won his duels well and distributed the ball very well in the two nil win over Zesco United.
CM-James Chibwe Kabwe, The warriors midfielder was on top of his game as he commanded and dominated the midfield helping the Kabwe based club to a three nil win over Lumwana Radiants.
CM-Collins Sikombe, The Lusaka dynamos midfield ace gave a good account for himself and scored one the Lusaka dynamos goals. He was even voted the official man of the match.
Special Mention: Portipher Zulu and Sebastian Mwansa also performed very well in their respective games.
RMF-Austin Muwowo, The Nkana on loan midfielder gave National Assembly alot of problems on the day and chipped in with a goal to help Chingalika record a three nil win.
LMF-Charles Zulu, The Zanaco wing Wizard was exceptional and gave New Monze Swallows alot of problems . The speedy winger scored the only goal of the game in Monze.
Special Mention: Kelvin Mubanga also had a great afternoon with a goal to his name.
CF-Rahim Osumani The Buildcon striker gave Nakambala Leopards defence alot of problems and managed to get himself on the score sheet.
CF-Emmanuel Okutu The Kabwe warriors hit man netted three times to propel Kabwe warriors to a three nil win over Lumwana.
Special Mention: John Mark Makwatta and Diamond Chikwekwe had good games also hence deserve recognition as well.
Coach of the week – Bilton Musonda gets this week’s coach of the week after masterminding the downfall of Zesco United and ending their three game league winning streak.
Player of the week – Emmanuel Okutu’s three goals and overall good performance earns the Zamfoot player of the week.
