Brenda Zulu crowned miss Zesco United fan Club as Kambole scoops fans player of the year

Zesco United fans on Friday held a successful event, The first ever miss Zesco United fan Club. The beauty pageant attracted a number of female Zesco United fans with 10 contestants making the final list.
The beauty pageant was good under the theme ‘Abash violence and hooliganism’ . The idea was to bring together Zesco United fans to celebrate and honour deserving Individuals.
The event attracted a lot of people, The Guest of honor was Copperbelt Minister Japhen Mwakalombe . Others President were Zesco United secretary general Richard Mulenga and his predecessor Justin Mumba.

The pageant itself was a tight affair and it was Brenda Zulu who emerged as the winner and the first ever miss Zesco United fan Club.
Crowd favourite Namakau Mwape came in second and was crowned 1st Princess while Febby Ngandwe was named 2nd Princess.

The event also saw a number of awards being given out to deserving individuals. Miriam Nalungwe was awarded for her commitment to the club as the most consistent female fan while Moore Kaumba was scooped the accolade on the men’s side.
Zesco United fan Club founding member Cliff Njobvu was awarded with the Chairman’s award for his passion and initiative to register the fan Club.
The fans also took into consideration the players they love so much and added one award to the female and male teams.
Zambia Women national team striker Grace Chanda was awarded for scoring a whooping 86 goals as the top goalscorer. Zesco United striker Jesse Jackson Were was so impressed by the Copper Queens forward tally that he decided to add a K1000 on top of the actual prize money.

2018 CAF Champions League top goalscorer runner up and historic maker with the fastest hatrick recorded in the CAF Champions League (5 minutes) Lazarus Kambole was unsurprisingly named fans player of the year.
A number of items were also auctioned at the event including the ball Zikiru Adams CAF Champions League match day ball from the 7-1 win over JKU of Zanzibar.
Other items auctioned were match day replicas for Kenyan talisman Jesse Jackson Were, Burundian midfielder Enock Sabamukama and Lazarus Kambole.
