Boyd Musonda to partner Rusike in midfield against Prison Leopards
Zambia U23 national team midfielder Boyd Musonda is expected to start for Sensational Zanaco on Saturday when they welcome relegation threatened Prison Leopards at Sunset Stadium.
Musonda returned to the Sensational Zanaco squad ahead of the match away Mufulira Wanderers last weekend following a injury lay off for over a month.
The Bankers head coach Numba Mumamba hinted on Musonda starting as a replacement for injured Souleymanou Moussa in a pre-match interview at Sunset Stadium on Friday after his teams final training session.
“We have made a few adjustments to the starting line up. We have brought in Boyd Musonda to take up Rusikes position. Rusike will take up the position which Souleymanou Moussa has left. We need ball players in midfield because we want the team to play a passing game so that we make our opponents tiered, Create chances and convert those chances into goals,” He said.
“Pressure will always be there but I think we have players who can handle that. Every team in our Stream is under pressure to win their last game I think because the league in our Stream will only be decided tomorrow. We just have to have the nerves and collect maximum points after the 90 minutes,” He added.
Both the bankers and Prison Leopards need maximum points as one looks to book a slot for Continental football while the other looks to survive relegation. The reverse fixture in Kabwe was a tightly contested affair as Zanaco just edged Leopards 2-1.
