Bilton Musonda’s focus is Continental football not winning the league
Green Buffaloes head coach Bilton Musonda is targeting a continental spot with his Buffaloes side. Buffaloes beat City of Lusaka through a 12th minute Jack Chirwa penalty to go second on the log tied on 50 points with log leaders Sensational Zanaco.
Musonda says his team is not focusing on winning the league but rather a spot in continental football.
” We said it’s time we want back into continental football and we are not really looking at winning the league but if we go into continental as champions that will be a bonus,” he said
Musonda questionabl refereeing decisions on the day with particular attention to offside calls against his team.
” Well no we can’t say the referee was on our side. You look at some of the off sides calls that were made some were not true so to say. As far as the penalty is concerned maybe when I watch a repeat on TV I might be able to give a comment,” he said.
City of Lusaka who are in desperate need of a win face Napsa Stars at Nkoloma Stadium on Saturday while Green Buffaloes host Sensational Zanaco in a top two affair at the same venue on Sunday.
