The battle for survival will go to the wire
The 2017 MTN FAZ Super Division is two games away from it’s conclusion with teams scrambling for points in a bid to exert their dominance.
The title race is at its hottest we have ever seen with two rivals Zesco United and Zanaco going against each other while at the bottom it’s even more dramatic with a five way tussle to survive the drop into the Zones.
Nakambala Leopards, Green Eagles, Nchanga Rangers, Kabwe Warriors and Mighty Mufulira Wanderers are all at risk of falling back into the second tier of Zambian Football.
Three clubs, Konkola Blades, Real Nakonde and City of Lusaka are already confirmed relegated and it looks like fourth team will be known on the final day of the season.
Warriors and Wanderers only separated by goal difference on 39 points have the hardest two remaining games. So is Green Eagles who are a point ahead. Mighty face Nkana at home and Zesco United away, Magnificent will battle it out against Lusaka Dynamos away and Power Dynamos at home while Green Eagles play Zesco United at home and conclude their campaign away at Green Buffaloes.
Nchanga Rangers look like they have the easiest remaining games playing the already relegated Konkola Blades away before finishing off at home to fellow relegation rivals Nakambala Leopards.
The league table is very tight at the bottom and one thing is for sure; the ‘Battle for Survival’ will go down to the wire.
