Barclays Bank committed to improving Zambian Football – Melu
Barclays Bank is keen on more partnership with other stakeholders to improve Zambian Football. Director General Mizinga Melu said the bank was happy with the support they have received from Supersport and Pamodzi hotel in this years Barclays cup competition .
Melu is relishing the idea of even more partners coming on board for next years competition.
” Its not just about Barclays but it’s about how does Barclays work with other partners to improve Zambian Football. This year we had a number of partners coming on board like Supersport and Pamodzi who supported us. We hope for even more partners next year,” she said.
” The fact that the president came here and spent 90 minutes watching the match shows that we have support straight from the top,” she added.
Zanaco walked away with K350 000 after beating Napsa Stars in the final of the 2017 Barclays cup final. Player of the tournament Felix Nyaende and 2012 AFCON winning midfielder Isaac Chansa scored a goal each to give three bankers their first ever Barclays cup title.
