Banda talks about his goal; It was the right moment at the right time
Zambia’s export to Belgium Emmanuel Banda summarized his goal for KV Oostende against Standard Liege as him being in the right place at the right moment.
Speaking after he opened his 2018/2019 goal scoring account, in a game he came off the bench to score the face saver in the 3 – 1 loss, Banda stated that he side should have done better in the game.
“I would say the goal was about the right moment at the right time. I just found the ball, and I hit it. I didn’t even know what I did, but I just hit it and at least it managed to cross the line and it is still a goal,” the 21 year old said.
He conceded that the result was a setback for his team as they missed a chance to move from 8th to 5th on the log.
“The result was quite heavy. If you see how we played the last games, I think we deserved to play much better today. Had we put up a good fight today we could have won the game.”
“We have lost points, had we won this game we would have been up there. There is still chance for us to move up, we will keep working hard to move up the table.
“Nevertheless we will work hard next week and try put this game behind to focus on the next game.”
