Blog: Zambia – Mediocrity’s paradise

By KK11 The mentality of Zambians, to support mediocrity just because it’s “Zambian”. It does not matter if someone is mediocre or not good, we must rally behind them and support them just because they are “our own”. Kalu is not a great or good administrator but people are still rallying behind him EVEN when it’s clear he has vast shortcomings. Janza was exposed at the highest level this past African cup yet, we still stand here and clamor for him to continue on while our football is in aRead More

FAZ on Monday issued a statement that the statement about Mr Janza’s qualification at the AGM was not a vote of no confidence on the coach, but rather, an expression by the Association of its desire to raise the profile of all the coaches in theRead More

Zambia 2 – 0 Rwanda: Match reactions

Chipolopolo Technical

Honour Janza, Coach – Zambia: “We are happy with today’s win but we cannot get excited. There is still a lot to be done. “It is important to maintain that attitude of not falling back or getting comfortable when we score first. We need to kill matches by scoring another goal in order to completely disarm the opponent. “When we score one, we have to score more goals. I see that happening in future matches because we talked about it with the players today. “The issue of saying Zambia doesRead More

Speaking after seeing his team pick their first win of the year 2015 with a 2 – 0 victory over Rwanda, Janza said he was not happy and it was demoralising that his fate was announced just before an international match. “If they want me to go, I can go even now. Janza exits with honour as Zambia beat Rwanda

bruce kalaba3

Honour Janza will exit the Chipolopolo job with honour after he guided the Zambian national team to a deserved 2 – 0 win over visiting Rwanda. With his fate already sealed after FAZ yesterday said he did not fit the profile of the coach they were looking for to take the Chipolopolo top job, Janza worked to prove his executive wrong as an inspired substitution saw Allan Mukuka make an assist for his captain Rainford Kalaba and score one himself. Despite dominating possession in the first half, Zambia lacked theRead More
