Auga, Jan and Lameck ermege winners at FAZ super league awards
Zanaco winger Augustine Mulenga has been named as the 2017 MTN/FAZ super league player of the year. Mulenga was a key part of the Zanaco team that reached the group stage of the CAF Champions league, Finsihing second in the league and winning the Barclays cup .
Mulenga was going head to head with team mate Toaster Nsabata and top goalscorer Chris Mugalu.
Nkwazi 16 year old striker Lameck Banda has been named as the 2017 young player of the year beating City of Lusaka captain Edward Tembo and Mighty Mufurila wanderers winger Chris Sakulanda.
Lameck became an instant hit after scoring five goals at the 2017 Mauritius U17 COSAFA youth Championships. Banda then made his way into the Nkwazi starting line-up scoring three times.
CHAN 2018 bound Jan Sikazwe has been named as Referee of the year ahead of last years winner Wisdom Chewe and three time winner Gladys Lengwe. Oliver Mweene has been named as assistant referee of the year.
Zanaco captain Ziyo Tembo has been named as Most Disciplined player while late Evans Muntangama as been recognised with the president’s award.
