AKA talks 2017 season at Buildcon FC
Buildcon FC striker Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba has revealed his favourite of the just ended 2017 super league season. Mwachiaba joined team Kopala midway through the season and managed to play the majority of the games in the second half of the season.
Zamfoot caught up with Mwachiaba to talk about the 2017 season from his angle of being one of the few Zambians who actually play in the super league with a team branded ‘Africa United’s because of the many foreign players the team has acquired from all over Africa.
Buildcon who came from division as A.M Welding attracted public outcry after naming an all foreign starting line-up.
“The competition was very tough especially that everyone wanted to play. Thankfully i worked hard and managed to play almost all the games in the second round of the season just after joining the club, he said.
Mwachiaba picked the one nil home win over Mighty Mufurila wanderers where he came from the bench to score the only goal of the game in the final minute of the match and win it for Team Kopala.
” My favourite game was the one we played against mighty (Mufurila wanderers) and i scored in the last minute to win the game,” Mwachiaba told Zambianfootball.co.zm in an exclusive interview.
” The toughest game for me in 2017 was match against Forest Rangers which we lost 3nil,” he added.
Mwachiaba scored four goals for Buildcon FC of which three came in consecutive games .Buildcon finished 9th on the log in their first season in the super league and will be looking to improve on that come 2018
