Reports reaching the ZamFoot Crew indicate that Chipololo defender Nyambe Mulenga has been injured in a road traffic accident which occurred near Kabwe.
Nyambe who is reported to have injured his leg was travelling to Lusaka on a Zesco United minibus for the Chipolopolo camp together with U17 midfielder Changwe Kalale and Grean Eagles goalie Satchmo Chakwa.
Eye witnesses have stated that it was a head on collision after a Toyota Prado lost control and hit into the Zesco bus leaving the driver of the Zesco bus dead on the spot.
The other passesngers are said not to be in any immediate danger.
More details to follow…
Lets hope that the injury is not serious and that he will recover in good time for the AFCON 2015.
Indications are that Nyambe has been ruled out of AFCON15 with a broken leg….. Huge blow but we thank God he’s alive.
But ka title of the article leaves alot to be desired. Its more of Nyambe to miss AFCON15 than people in an accident. Yes we need him in the AFCON15 team but more a humane title especially that one person is dead is just “Nyambe Mulenga involved in a RTA” Thereafter, you can talk about possibility of him missing AFCON due to his injuries. Wishing him a quick recovery.
Eish quick recovery guys and my condolences to the one that has left us.

Congratulations u20 team for the gold obtained at the cosafa tournament. The future of Zambian soccer seem to be bright again after a long drought wait after the crop of u20 of 2007
My condolences to families who lost loved ones in this accident.
I must question road safety regulations, do Zambians wear seat belts? The deaths we have in football alone is shocking, i dread to think of the namount outside of football.
Sad for those who lost their lives. Pray for Nyambe and his teammates. Sad development
