French ligue 2 side Sochaux on Friday evening picked a vital 1 – 0 away win over Niort despite missing the services of Zambian international Stopilla Sunzu.

Sochaux are the in-form team in the chase for promotion and have not lost the last 5 games drawing once. The win moved them to 4th position two points behind leaders Dijon.

Sunzu who is still recovering from an injury sustained at the beginning of November is said to be making progress and has started light training.

Sochaux play their final fixture of the calendar year next week at home against Angers and Sunzu is expected to make an appearance for the club before heads for the Chipolopolo camp ahead of the 2015 AFCON.

Good afternoon football lovers across the globe and welcome to Luveve stadium for a double header of semi final football at the AUSC youth games. The first match is between group B winners, Zambia and Group A runners up, Malawi.

Malawi were beaten 2-1 by Zimbabwe in the final group A encounter but they qualified for the last four despite being tied with Angola at 7 points because of the head to head rule. Malawi edged Angola 1 nil in the group stages.

1’The first semi final gets underway and Zambia start the ball rolling!
2’Early chance from Zambia but Charles Shezongo’s touch is too heavy and it goes over
3’Zambia back in attack again but Kingsley Mukuka’s pass to Patrick Ngoma is too much, it trickles out for a Zambian goal kick

STAT: On their way to the semi finals, Zambia scored 12 goals while Malawi scored 4

6′ Slow start to thee encounter and there have not been any clear cut chances from either side. Long balls have been dominant so far as both sides seek an early lead
10′ Chance to shoot for Zambia but Kasashi Lupiya’s headed effort is too weak
11′ GOOOOOOOAL Zambia. Patrick Ngoma opening Zambia’s account just after 10 minutes. He places it to the far left of Mikuwa and it hits the upright on its way in. Simple but beautiful

18’Good defending from Shafil Mdoka to ward off a rare threat from Malawi
20’Ngoma terrorising Malawi on the left and he leaves it for Mdoka who is fouled. Ngoma heads in the free kick but it is straight at Mikuwa
23′ 2 nil. And it is Ngoma again with the killer punch. He received a square ball from Kingsley Mukuka and he once again places it far from the lanky Mikuwa. Clinica finishing from the bulky young man
25’Free kick to Malawi in a promising position. Mdoka takes and Nickson Nyakulu heads wide from point blank range. he should have reduced his country’s arrears

45+3 HALF TIME ZAMBIA 2-0 MALAWI

Zambia are in the lead after the first 45 minutes through goals from Patrick Ngoma but for the fans who have braved the searing heat, there has been little entertainment so far. Malawi lack the hunger to go forward and they have been defending Zambia’sn long balls searching for Ngoma. Zambia’s goals were beautifully executed by the steady Ngoma from within the 16 yard box and that goes on to reiterate on Malawi’s defensive deficiencies

46’Nachanges from either gaffer at half time and the game resumes. Zambia on an early raid with sakulanda finding Daka in the box but his touch on the ball is too light to direct it goal ards.
47’On the other end, Malawi fail to capitalise on a glorious opportunity. Miscommunication between Lino and Luwanda gives Zambia time to clear

88′ wonderful ball into the box from John Musonda but there are no takers and Malawi clears the danger
90′ another yellow card Malawi’s way. George Manndu booked for attemoting to trip Solomona Sakala though he missed his legs
There is no more enthusiasm and hunger in the Zambian attack since the departure of Ngoma and the seem content with their set of four goals now
Five additional minutes to be played
90+2 Mukuka falls under challenge and Zambia earn a free kick on the edge of the box on the right side. Kingsley Mukuka sends it into the box, and the awkward bounce fools the keeper initially but he finally catches
90+5 Zambian goal keeper into the referee’s book for time wasting

The referee blows to signal the end and at full time it is ZAMBIA 4-0 MALAWI

An entertaining second half display from Zambia and complete domination of all departments in the process. Agood display fro Ngoma who scored a hat trick and could have scored more.
