CAF Awards: Patson Daka is Africa’s best youth player

Zambia national soccer team striker Patson Daka has been named the 2017 Africa Youth Player of the year at the Aiteo CAF Awards gala held in Ghana. Daka shook off challenges from Krepin Diatta of Senegal and Salam Giddou of Mali to become the second Zambian to win the award after Clifford Mulenga in 2007. At 19, Daka is already the Chipolopolo’s top striker having come through the ranks at U17 and U20 level.
