Zambia shoot up on the FIFA rankings to rank highest in Cosafa

The Zambia national soccer team has moved 18 places up the FIFA ladder according to the September 2017 FIFA rankings released in Zurich on Thursday. Zambia is now the highest ranked team from the Cosafa region. The Chipolopolo who ranked 96th in August now stand at 78th in the world and are back in the top 20 in Africa standing on position 16. Red Bull Salzburg head coach Marco Rose has named Zambian striker Patson Daka in his squad which has travelled to Portugal for the UEFA Europa League fixture against Vitoria de Guimar√£es.
