Nakambala Leopards fire coach Matthews Phiri

NAKAMBALA Leopards have dismissed coach Mathews Phiri following a string of poor results. Phiri is the second Super Division coach to be dismissed this year after Ahmed Suliman parted company with struggling Mufulira Wanderers last month. Club chairman Lloyd Mwale confirmed, in Lusaka yesterday, Phiri’s dismissal and the appointment of Kaunda Simonda as acting coach. Simonda will be assisted by Jones Kapokola. Zambia U20 hold first training session in Korea

The Zambia U-20 has had their first training in Jeju where they are shaping up for the FIFA World Cup that commences on Saturday. Zambia is accommodated at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jeju and got down to business this morning with their first training session at the Kang Chang Hak Stadium.
