Under-20 to face Barca B after Madrib game is called off
Zambia U20 men’s national football team Leader of Delegation Lee Kawanu has confirmed that the match between Real Madrid B and the Zambia U20 men’s national football team will not take place due to the soggy state of the pitches at Cuidad Real Madrid.
The team now will play a practice match against Barcelona B which has been confirmed for Wednesday, February 8 at 12:00 hrs Zambian time.
“The weather is much better in Barcelona than in Madrid, Nice and sunny.
“Madrid youth teams rest on Tuesday’s and for tomorrow we have no guarantee that the pitches would be fine so we decided to go for a sure thing with barca and the weather there is perfect,” Kawanu said.
The Zambia Under-20 has been in Spain for the past 10 days preparing for the CAF U20 African Cup of Nations.
